Broken Bells

Good-morning, kittens & dawgs! Life is good. Curious as a Cathy is working properly again. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then read, Just like magic, I’m back up again!

That little interruption threw a big wrench in the bucket causing my October 1st Battle of the Bands vote count to not be recorded, which reminds me if you didn’t re-cast your vote then do so, here. The polls close midnight on the 13th.

This American indie rock group performs “melodic, but experimental” style music as described by artist-producer, Brian Burton a.k.a. Danger Mouse, and lead vocalist/guitarist, James Mercer.

The 2011 Grammy Awards nominee Broken Bells  for Best Alternative Music Album popped up on my radar about that time and and recently rediscovered their talent while looking for music relating to autumn to share today.

Let’s hit the dance floor with Broken Bells!

Holding On For Life
The Ghost Inside
The High Road

Thanks for boogieing with me. Let’s keep the party going by linking up and joining the fun with the Monday’s Music Moves Me crew and don’t forget to check back tomorrow for Cathy Chat to see what randomness I’ve got going on. Have a tunetastic day!

  1. Well, I never heard either one of these, but they’re terribly soothing I’d say. Sorry so late… having big probs with my back and hips. Went for a shot today and my last one is in two weeks! Woo Hoo! Thanks for stopping by and playing along with us girlfriend.

  2. I’m going to go read the links on what happened.

Thanks for introducing this band. They do have a different and very nice sound. I like.

I can’t figure who they remind me of.

Wishing you a blessed week! *HUGS*

  3. Hi, dear Cathy! Thanks for introducing Broken Bells. The group has a unique sound and I enjoyed these selections. I’m happy to know you have your glitches fixed and wish you a very happy week ahead!

    1. Tom, thanks for dropping by earlier this morning and I’m glad you enjoyed the unique sound of Broken Bell. I’m giddy to have my blog glitches fixed! Unfortunately, I know this sort of thing will happen again. It’s never a question, if but when will this happen next. You can’t live with technology and you can’t live without it. You just have to learn to live with the good and the bad. 😀
