Book Review: CRY FROM THE PENTAGON

I cried often while reading the pages of Rebecca Lester Lightbourn’s  “A 9/11 Mother’s Journey of Grief” in her story released by Tate Publishing last month. A parents’ worse fear is losing a child, but when that fear becomes reality then life almost ceases to exist for a time.

Rebecca unfolded the events of 9/11 and the aftermath that forever changed her and her family’s life. She shared the tearful frustrations of not knowing if her daughter, Samantha, would come home again, the unbearable first-hand encounter of the Pentagon the day after the attack, the heart wrenching briefings on the rescue/recovery process, and the greed of others at her daughter’s expense.

I found it amazing for this woman to be confronted with so many adversities in a small space of time. However, amidst all the chaos and confusion her faith in God remained intact. God granted her the ability to make hard decisions on short notice.

CRY FROM THE PENTAGON will touch your very core and you will sense Rebecca’s experience as your own.

To get your autographed copy of Rebecca’s book, she will be at the Pentagon on October 13th for a book signing for those in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.
