Welcome Kittens & Dawgs! I was super busy with the A2Z challenge last month, but I did find time to use my camera. On one of our day trips, we headed for the Blue Ridge Parkway, but passed Asheville, North Carolina to go to The Well-Bred Bakery & Cafe, which is in the Biltmore Village plaza and as we left this is what we saw.
Naturally, I asked DH to take me over for a closer look at the hundreds and hundreds of bright, cheery flowers.
We haven’t been to Biltmore in the spring, but seeing all this sea of beautiful tulips made me want to go BAD! *sigh* Oh well, perhaps next spring we’ll have a chance to visit Biltmore in bloom!
Have a fototastic day!

Hi, Cathy; What a lovely expanse of tulips! Sorry I missed your later A-Z posts. I was stuck writing mine day by day which didn’t leave much visiting time.
Debbie, no apologizes needed. I’m playing catch up on comments & doing return visits because the alphabet caught up with me which meant I had to write mine, too. Next year I promise to have ALL posts done in advance to avoid this problem. Of course I’ve said this before and have yet to get it right. Lol I miss a lot of your post, too BUT I hope read through them now that the rush of things is behind me. Thanks for your blogging support, good friend!
Thank you, as well, my friend. Cathy, I say that every year about getting the posts all done ahead of time and something always interferes with those plans. 🙂 No worries about catching up. We all need some rest at this point.
The flowers are gorgeous and so is the big Tudor-like building in the background. I’d love to go there! Thanks for sharing you Wordless Wednesday (though there were a lot of words in there! LOL!)
Oh! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Luckily I wasn’t with Booktrope (which closed). My book’s with Freedom Fox Press and will be pubbed in October, and I’m pretty sure Freedom Fox will stay open!
Lexa, that’s good news to hear. ?
Lexa, the entrance to Biltmore is gorgeous. If you ever visit Asheville North Carolina then try to work in seeing Biltmore Estate. It’s beautiful! You’re absolutely right this post isn’t very wordless. Lol I’ve thought abou renaming it Not-So Wordless Wednesday. I can’t create a post without saying anything. It seems too unnatural. ?
Wow that really is a sea of tulips! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it! It’s just stunning.

Shelly, I highly recommend if you’re in the Asheville North Carolina area to make time to visit Biltmore Estate. It doesn’t matter what time of the year is, as it’s never disappointing to see anytime. Thanks for dropping by!
Those are so beautiful.
My favorite flower: Many years ago, we visited tulip fields in Washington state.
Love,
Janie
That’s what I call a riot of colour!!! Wow. They are gorgeous. We have our tulip festival normally at this time of year, but our colder Spring has delayed it a bit. Hopefully soon! And hopefully this year I actually make it down to the gardens with my camera.
Les, it was a wonderful unexpected delight to come upon. I thought the tulips were long pass, but I forget that Asheville is a bit higher in elevation than Knoxville so blooms are a bit behind us. I hope next year we can tour the grounds of Biltmore. We’ve been twice once at Christmas, which is beautiful and a second time in early spring well before the blooms. Both experiences were nice, but I want to see the flower display now. Thanks for popping in, love, and I hope you’re able to photograph your garden this spring, too. 😉
I love the various colors of tulips. Each year we have tulip festivals – at least one here in Oregon, and another one in Washington state. I’ve yet to go, but the pictures are stunning.

Mary, a tulip festival?! Oh, that’s gotta be spectacular to see! I tulips are so pretty, but I hate that they don’t stay around too long. The sea of color always makes me happy. 🙂
I love Tulips. It just isn’t Spring without them. I linked up here today!

McGuffy, so glad you decided join in today. Yep, spring isn’t spring without the glorious tulip blooms!
These tulips are beautiful with the sea of colour. I want to get my tulip stamp and start to play
Birgit, if you create another lovely handmade card while playing with your tulip rubber stamp then let me know, so I can have a peak. I have one tulip stamp, too. I haven’t used it quite awhile. I need to make another May bday card, so I best get started on it soon. Thanks for stopping by for a visit. 😉
