A Rebel with a Cello

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  This week’s theme is whatever music moves you! As so often as I do, I collect YouTube links to songs or artists for future use.  I thought it interesting when I spotted Hauser’s YT channel link and thought perhaps this is the direction to follow since I shared a classical piece last week but I’ll get to that side of Hauser in a few minutes.  First, I want to introduce you to the Rebel with a Cello.

If you liked that clip, then here’s the first, full Rebel with a Cello concert live!  The next playlist is a compilation of classical arrangements for quiet listening pleasure.

Remember music themes are only suggestions.  I don’t care one way or another.  The important thing is to share whatever music moves you. Now, it’s your turn!

This is a music link up.  Your post must contain at least one song or your URL is marked “No Music”.

I have no birthday salutes this month but if you had one please let me know in comments and I’ll get you next year. 😉

If you’re interested in seeing my vacation pictures from our trip to Maine. My first set is now live on CAAC part 2.  Have a boogietastic week!

  1. We loved the Pirate with the Cello…MOL…we also like his other mewsic, CK. It’s playing now while we’re writing this😺😺We didn’t know (or forgot) that you had another bloggie. We’re ready to look into your vaction in Maine. Double Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead🐾😽💞

    1. It’s easy to forget about my secondary blog since it’s really quite new. I started it up over the summer. 🙂

  2. CAThy, back in July my dear friend the ~Flyin’ Aardvark~ saw Hauser perform at the amphitheater at the Pechanga Casino in Temecula. She said he put on a great show and played an amazing variety of musical categories — from Classical to Rock — including some AC/DC, Bon Jovi, the theme to Game of Thrones, etc. He performed with a traditional cello and then the really odd one with the wood portion of the cello missing. Sounds like a really cool musical artist.

  3. Love it, love it, love it! Of course, it’s classical and it’s so calming. He makes that cello sing. I listened to Fur Elize last week which was beautiful and there are more classical pieces, I bet, you would love. They are not all opera and Wagner…lol. I wonder if you would like the film called, ” Immortal Beloved” where Gary Oldman plays Beethoven. It is stellar!

  4. This is amazing music, Cathy! 💖 Hauser is an incredibly talented, emotive cellist. Loved the first video, and I sampled the entire playlist. My favourites were 4, 6, and 15. Heading off to your other site now…

  5. Hi again, Cathy!

This could be rightly be titled “While My Cello Gently Weeps.” I thoroughly enjoyed your introduction to Croatian cellist Stjepan Hauser. His beautiful playing soothes the soul, and the settings for his various performances are stunning, especially seeing him perform in that vast field of sunflowers. Thank you very much for bringing this amazing artist to your blog.

My latest post is now running and I invite you to join the spooky fun at Shady’s Place if and when you have time. I wish you and your LAs a safe and happy Halloween, dear friend Cathy!

  6. I enjoyed the first selection of the Rebel with a Cello. He was so entertaining with the picture of the Pirate playing the cello in the background. I listened to a little of the playlist. Certainly soothing music. Alana ramblinwitham
