(4M #184} 20 Feet From Stardom

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me week #184!

You’re not seeing doubles, my friend. Today we’re partying to “freebie-style” again per Steve’s request.   Whatever tunes are getting your groove on, then we want to hear them  right here!

You know I have grown into an iTunes Radio nut.  I play it nearly non-stop while DH is at work. I am always on the watch for new stations added. Last week, 20 Feet From Stardom, popped up on the line up. Today’s inspired music picks come from more music streaming pleasure. You can always count on me because You’ve Got a Friend. 😉

Our lovely hostesses, XmasDolly, would like to thank you for joining the party and as always JAmericanSpice, Stacy Uncorked, Just the stuff ya know & myself are happy that you came.

Dance party rules:

  • grab XmasDolly 4M button here

We aren’t music snobs, if you have tunes to share, then you’re cool coz all we want to do is dance. Now, it’s time to link up and shake your bootie with all the fellow rockin’ bloggin’ friends below.

** Remember, to be considered for honorary co-host each month, then be sure to add your URL to the link up.**

Did you have a good time on the dance floor? I did. Next stop… your place!  What music moves you?

Be sure to come back next week to dance with the 4M crew, and if you can’t get enough music, then join me for Saturday Song-suasion!

  1. While I was looking for Judy Collins songs, I came across a few James Taylor. I love Hit the Road Jack. I and a few friends of mine incorporated that into a puppet drama we did for our 7th grade English class.

  2. What better way than to spend your time with music!

Oooh I Love me some Ray Charles!
What a great list Cathy! Thank you.

    Have a blessed week!

  3. I’ve never tried the iTunes radio – gonna have to give a try. I listen to the stations on our satellite feed often. Love the Joe Cocker song, never heard him do that one. But Hit the Road Jack = Awesome!

    1. We have satellite radio in the car, but not in the house. I just iTunes radio! Before that I use to listen to iHeartRadio, but I am now addicted to iTunes Radio. You gotta look into it!

  4. I’m a big Joe Cocker fan. Great choice, and I see you have the videos like Marie. I watched it for you. That Sverve thing. Thanks for stopping by. Great choices today.

  5. EEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HIT THE ROAD JACK!!!! I love that song. What a song to get this dance started!!! Fantastic choice Girlfriend! All the others are cool, but nothing like Ray Charles to put some boogie in your strut!!! You go girl! Thanks for sharing! YOU SO ROCK! AND I’M FEELIN’ ALRIGHT!!!!! Thanks for the dance mama…..

    1. One more, while DH was getting ready to work Hit the Road Jack came on iTunes 20 Feet From Stardom radio and I got such a kick out of it that I knew this oldie would be purfect for the dance floor. The funny thing is, I didn’t know it was Ray Charles. I was actually surprised to discover this, too. Thanks for dancing with me lady!

    1. There really isn’t much to figure out, and it’s a whole lot of fun. Every other Monday, we have freebie style music. That means anything goes and the in-between weeks XmasDolly (the Dancing Queen of this weekly meme) posts a theme on her site that she allows the weekly Spotlight Dancer to select for us to get creative with. Of course, we aren’t snobs when it comes to music. As long as you have some tunes for us to boogie to, then we are happy dancers. We would love to have you to cut a rug with us!
