3 Female Vocalists with 3 Different Styles

mewsic moves me Monday music

Good-morning, kittens & dawgs! I have a few new artists I’d like to introduce you kittens and dawgs to this morning. I’ve been meaning to share them before now, but I couldn’t find the right time slot until now. That’s life for ya, huh? Okay, cutting straight to the chase. Here are three female vocalists with different styles. Turn up your speakers and boogie in your seat or beside it.

JANIE BOREAUX

STEVIE JEWEL

SONIA

What did you think of these ladies? Which style/artist did you like the best? Let’s show some love by hosting a tweet party for these gals! ?

What mewsic are you listening to lately? I’d love to know what songs are moving you, so please feel free to tell me in comments. ?

This is a quick & painless way for others to find good tunes in Blogosphere by joining my no strings attached music hop, just add your music post URL below and wha-lah… instant traffic directed to your site. Clever, eh? I thought so.

Have a tunetastic week!

    1. Myke, I’m curious, do you not write daily on your blog? I visit the one you gave when you logged in, but the last entry on this site is from April. I don’t know, if you have another blog that you keep up with more regularly or not. I just wanted you to know, in case I’m missing out on more of your fantastic words. Thanks for stopping by for a listen!

  1. Oh this was a tough one! They are all unique and special in their own right. Lovely voices. Natural and not over processed. I think I like the last one, Sonia the best — she has a lot of emotion in her vocals and I like that.

  2. I have to say I like Sonia best due to her deep voice and jazzy style. Stevie has a nice strong voice. Janie is good as well but she is my least favourite but she is still good. I think it is more the style of each musical piece.

  3. Hi, Cathy!

Thank you for this terrific trio of female vocalists. I genuinely enjoyed all three recordings and would be hard pressed to vote for one over the others in a BOTB. The Jane Bordeaux song had sparse instrumental backing, merely acoustic guitar and percussion over multi-tracked vocals, but it was wonderful. Stevie has a velvet voice and a winning smile and her song and video had just the right touch of humor. I noticed on YouTube she has performed more edgy material as well – “One Last Kiss,” for example. Sonia Eden delivered rich, soulful jazz vocals. The song is beautiful and the piano magnificent.

Thank you again for introducing three new (to me) artists, Cathy. I became a Kat Graham fan thanks to you and I also want you to know that Mrs. Shady and I followed your advice and are working our way through season one of Damages. We love the series just as much as you thought we would. Thank you for recommending it!

Have a wonderful week, dear friend Cathy!

    1. Tom, I hope to share more mewsic by these singers later on. I’m glad you enjoyed these picks. I’m buried in fixing troublesome links that Google flagged and this might be part of the reason you had problems with my site a week ago. I’ll try to visit ya soon as I can. Oh, snap! I’m glad you & Mrs. shady like Damages. Glenn Close is fantastic in it! Catch ya later gator!

  4. This is just like offering me three different kinds of candy and asking which one’s best. They’re all pretty good and I like each song for different reasons. The one that comes closest to the type of music I’d normally listen to is the first one, Jane Bordeaux. I really like that sound and the song is very nice.

    Interesting offerings.

    1. Lee, I like your comparison of candy and music. That sounds like my line of thinking. lol Jane is probably my favorite of the three, too.
