Für Elise

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  This week’s theme, if you choice to play along, is to pick a song or build a playlist of songs opposite to your usual music style

I listen to so much different music these days that I don’t know that I have a “usual music preference” anymore which got me to thinking about when I was a kid in the 70s, what would’ve been the opposite for me in those days?  That was easy.  One genre that rarely crossed my ears was classical.  The closest I came in those days was Walter Murray’s “The 5th of Beethoven”.  Although, more to my liking in those days, it doesn’t quite fit the composers original arrangement. I wondered what Ludwig might have thought of Murray’s disco cover? Anyway,  who knew one day, a Beethoven song would be the inspiration for our second daughter’s middle name, Elise.

An interesting tidbit I didn’t realize until now is Walter Murphy did an entire album with the same name as #1 disco hit and if you wanna check it out, then here it is A Fifth of Beethoven!

This is a music link up.  Your post must contain at least one song or your URL is marked “No Music”.

Remember music themes are only suggestions.  I don’t care one way or another.  The important thing is to share whatever music moves you. Now, it’s your turn!

Over the summer, I hinted that I might stay in a state of hiatus for the rest of the year.  I decided to do just that. I am working hard to resize images because of site overload issues.  I could buy a service to do this but one I’m cheap and two I don’t know if it’ll get done like I want.  I will be online but not always active and will make return visits as swiftly as possible.  Have a boogietastic week!
