An American Independence Day Celebration

Awww Mondays hosted by Sandee from Comedy Plus.

I’m happy to announce the return of Songbird’s Crazy World as a returning honorary co-hostess for July with the Monday’s Music Moves Me crew.

The theme this week is whatever music moves you for freedom of song choice week.

Greetings to all and an early Happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans! I was trying to come up with a theme for this week’s freedom of song choice. My first thought patriotic songs or bands that sounded patriotic. One of the hits was 50 Top American Bands of All Times and BING, “Hello inspiration”!

It only seems fitting to use my first band selection where there’s much history and perhaps the first place to signal to the British that Americans were tired of being under the Royals thumb with the insane taxation imposed. Let’s give it up for Boston!

Boston Greatest Hits

Anyone care for a cup of tea? Moving right on, thinking about American pride and things we hold dear, the next band playing needs no explanation, The Eagles! Let’s hit the dance floor with 20 of their best songs!

This is a long weekend for most but I suppose I’ll wind things down with more music inspired by Best Rock Patriotic Songs with these 7-songs.

1. We’re An American Band ~Grand Funk Railroad 2. Living In America ~James Brown 3. Living In The USA ~Steve Miller Band 4. Red, White, and Blue Music ~Lynrd Skynyrd 5. Warrior ~Kid Rock 6. Don’t Tread On Me ~Metallica 7. Star Spangled Banner ~Metallica

This is a music linky party.  Your co-hostess are StacyAlana, and Me.   Every other week we have a suggested music theme (see weekly prompts here) to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our music enthusiasts.  Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.

For those who like participating in the BOTB voting process each month, you will the battle showdown here.

Marie has corresponded with me more lately.  This is a good sign or at least I feel that it is.  She sends her hellos and love to you.  I was happy to read she has a new back doctor closer to home.  Her leg(s) are swelling again and she continues to have trouble sitting too long at the computer.  She did get it fixed but it needs security software to prevent future attacks.  I hope she gets her health and technology lined up so she can resume the things she loves.  Keep those prayers going for our good friend!  This is CAAC signing off,  have a red, white, and boogietastic week!
