It’s Groundhog Day!

This morning, Punxsy Phil declared six more weeks of winter.  I knew Mother Nature was fooling us yesterday with it being 60º.  Anywho, sorry for the late start today.  I wanted to get the 411 to share with you straight away. You can watch the coverage at Phil’s prediction at Gobbler’s Knob yourself below.

One of my (our) all-time favorite movies is Groundhog Day(trailer).  It’s become a classic in my opinion.  The script, the acting, everything is fabulous.  I think it was last week bloggy bud, Birgit shared “Time” themed songs for her mid-week post which got me to thinking today to look for time loop/travel films.  I came up with 10 movie trailers to share with you that I’m curious to see with the exception of Westworld. We just finished the all three seasons on HBOMax.  There’s a projected date for the fourth season to air in May but that’s not confirmed.

I (we) am the kind of person who really doesn’t want to have to rent or buy a movie, if I can find the streaming version on one of our subscription services.  I found all but one the films listed and if you’re interested in these, then here’s where you can view these movies.

Boss Level and Palm Springs are on Hulu.  I found these full-length movies to stream for free on YouTube: Retroactive, 12:01, Timescape (1992) Grand Tour: Disaster In Time , and Donnie Darko.  I wasn’t able to find Time Runner available for streaming at no additional cost on any of my current subscription services. The Philadelphia Experiment can be watched on Amazon with ads.

Here are my responses to Joyce’s Wednesday Hodgepodge questions this week.

1. The Wednesday Hodgepodge landing on Groundhog’s Day sounds about right. Besides the Hodgepodge what else lands on your calendar just once a week? Is it as much fun as the Hodgepodge-ha!? I generally post six days a week and each are assigned with specific content for each day.  I have my Sunday Edition of Monday’s Music Moves Me, Tickle Me Tuesday, Wild Wednesday which include the hodgepodge, Thursday Art Date, Friday Funnies or Fun Stuff, and Saturday Songsuasion.  My daily entries are filled mostly with music and humor with the exception of Thursdays where I like to share my art sketches if time permits.  I’m struggling a bit lately to get back into the groove with drawing. I think all of my participations each day are equally fun.

2. The Winter Olympics begin on Friday, surrounded by much controversy. Will you be watching? Why or why not? Have you ever been to China?  I have no plans to watch the Olympics.  It’s gotten too political and that has taken away the fun of the sports.  No, I have not been to China.  Most Asian countries don’t appeal to me. I like the cuisine and that’s as close to China that I’ll ever come.

3. Something in your life lately that has felt a bit like an ‘olympic event’? Buying certain grocery related items online before they are out of stock again takes precise timing and swift action.

4. Do you like fondue? Sweet or savory? Restaurant only or do you own your own fondue set?  I don’t think I’ve ever had fondue.  I think melted cheese for dipping would be a favorite with me.

5. Give us five short (2-3 word) phrases to sum up your January. Gone too fast!

6. Insert your own random thought here.  With it being Groundhog Day, how about a little more groundhog humor?

Yesterday, I shared some pre-Groundhog Day humor if you want more giggles.  😆

I invite you to join the linky party where just about anything goes on Wild Wednesdays. This is your opportunity to self-promote your current post or another favorite.  No rules to follow, except to keep things family friendly and for only personal bloggers to use this link up.  Violators will be taken down.

More Wednesday link up connections… Sandee, NatashaMarie, & Wordless Wednesday!

I can’t let you slide through the rest of the week without closing with a new music discovery.  I came across the Boston based rock Indie band, Juniper “Regret” which sparked my curiosity to hear more and after visiting YouTube I found a 10-song playlist on their channel.  Give ’em a listen while you poke around Blogosphere.

Distance Keeps Me Distant album song tracks: 1. Angelina 2. Daydream 3. Driving 4. Puzzle Pieces 5. We’re Fighting Wars from Every Direction 6. Cedar Lane 7. Out of Nowhere 8. Distance Keeps Me Distant 9. Overthinking 10. More Than I Can Handle

I’m unsure what my next post will be Thursday Art Date or Friday Fun Stuff at this point but hopefully I’ll have something up tomorrow to share. 😉  This is CAAC signing off and saying have a wonderfully, wild day!
