The blessings of health #music

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

Good morning, kittens & dawgs! This month I’m dancing to the blessings in my life. One thing I’m very blessed to have is good health and the energy to not quit when my body tells me nooo more!

Are you ready to boogie? Lace up those blue suede shoes and step out on the dance floor with me!

Thank you for making Monday’s Music Moves Me a part of your day. The 4M crew: XmasDolly, JAmericanSpice, Stacy Uncorked, Everyday Life, and Curious as a Cathy is faithful to visit everyone who joins the linky party. So, don’t forget to link up and have fun!

Nothing says good health, like the way good music makes me feel and the way it makes me feel groovy…

Or, how happy it makes me feel….

What it all boils down to is Life is too short to not be my best. God has blessed me with good health and it’s my responsibility to not waste it.  I think it was Billy Blanks who said something to the effect fight to be fit for life and because I’m able, I try to live by this principle. The simple truth is I want it all!

When I’m not dancing (yes, I really do this) around the house doing my chores. I love to spend an hour on my elliptical trainer each day. What activity do you do to keep fit for life?

1. Grab XmasDolly 4M button here. 2. Display it on your blog. 3. Add your favorite YouTube videos.  FYI: all non-music link ups are labeled or removed.  Every other week, we dance freebie style otherwise we have a weekly theme chosen by our Spotlight Dancer.  You can find it listed on XmasDolly’s side menu. That all being said, we aren’t music snobs. As long as you have tunes for us to dance to, then you’re cool!

Old Gray Cemetery

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

Old Gray Cemetery is the second oldest burial site in Knoxville.  I took these pictures in October. I wanted to share them with you for Halloween, but that never happened.

Recently, I downloaded a couple of new-to-me free photo editing apps from the Apple store called Fotor, which I really like. It is easy to use and it offers some good options in ways to change my photos. The processing effects above is “gray tint” and the one below “grainy gray”.

It’s so nice of you to come by & I hope you’ll decide to make it a repeat visit each week to share in my musical memories (new or old) and my photo ops. Wanna make me or someone else happy? Then, leave a comment! I’ll be hopping over to your little niche in Blogosphere soon!

Feel free to snag my WW button under Daily Blog Hops at the top of this page where you can also find more WW communities. Before you go, please join my linky party!

Feeling Groovy

Puritan's Pride Vitamins
Snapped while on our day trip to the Bluegrass state
(click the link to see more photos) last Friday
“When Christ was on earth, the dogwood grew
To a towering size with a lovely hue.
Its branches were strong and interwoven,
And for Christ’s cross its timbers were chosen.
“Being distressed at the use of the wood,
Christ made a promise which still holds good:
‘Never again shall the dogwood grow
To be large enough for a tree, and so,
Slender and twisted it shall always be,
With cross-shaped blossoms for all to see.
“’The petals shall have bloodstains marked brown,
And in the blossom’s center a thorny crown.
All who see it will think of me,
Nailed to a cross from a dogwood tree.
Protected and cherished this tree shall be,
A reflection to all of my agony.’”

I always thought Christ was crucified from the dogwood timbers, but I learned when I stumbled upon the legend, here, that dogwoods are not native to Israel. The legend is still nice and it serves to remind me each spring of Jesus’ sacrifice for all.

Our weather has been glorious. Sun shining bright…a smile creeps across my face…my heart feels carefree… and, I get that ole….

sensation. Ahhh, life is good!  Now, tell me, isn’t this just a happy song? I mean, it makes me wanna celebrate spring.

We hope you’ll want to join in on the fun. Don’t worry, Angela and I don’t have a lot of rules. All we ask from our friends is to link only one of the following blog, twitter, or Facebook URL below. It’s that simple!

This week’s theme is “Your Pick”.  In honor of President’s Day….

How would the Presidents who we honor this month celebrate their birthdays? I imagine there would be a large formal party, wouldn’t you? Let’s have our own presidential birthday celebration. Beginning with…

President Abraham Lincoln born, February 12, 1809, was fond of the opera. He particularly liked Martha, by Freierich von Flowtow, according to If Abraham Lincoln Had An iPod.

General George Washington, served as our nation’s first president. Born in the year of the Lord 1732 on February 22nd, we honor his birth.

Today the sons and daughters of the American Revolutionary and Civil War celebrate  birthdays with greater enthusiasm. Let’s kick of President’s Day with this these smash hits…

Happy Birthday to Our Founding Fathers – George Washington & Abraham Lincoln!

My DH has today off, so I’m going to spend it with him, but I’ll be visiting you tomorrow. What music is moving you this Monday?
