Voices of Angels & Vintage Christmas Cards #WW

Purrrs and hisses, Kittens & Dawgs!  The retail world has announced the Christmas season as of Black Friday and while I feel Christmas is the spirit that lives within my heart 365 days, I’m very happy to usher in the joyful sounds of the season.  Today’s post is in part sponsored by the letter ‘V‘ and the ABC Wednesday community

Do you like Celtic Woman?  I do.  When I was thinking about today’s alpha-prompt, I thought ‘voices of angels’ and wouldn’t you know it Celtic Woman has a ‘Voices of Angels‘ album.  I thought it was a Christmas album but it’s not, so I decided to share, ‘O Holy Night’ by these voices of angels set to vintage graphics and a beautiful message.

Vintage Christmas cards transport me to Victorian times with these visions

The above images above to make collage were borrowed from various Internet sources. Thank you for Google for your help!
This is a bi-weekly art challenge and this is Michael MacVean’s off-week.
This is one of my first iPad & Apple pencil sketches from last December.  My design has a vintage essence to it, don’t you think?

DH & I are taking a little staycation for the next several days.  He had time that he needed to use, get paid for, or run the risk of losing it, so he opted to take the time off.  Between now and until the end of the year my blogging life is going to find its way on the back burner but  I won’t abandon ship completely. My posts might be fewer, return visits slower, and my response time even slower. I say you’re in the same boat but we can cut each other a lot of slack and enjoy the season together!

My linky party is open to all regardless of what kind of post you have as long as you’re a personal blogger.  All commercial websites, advertisers, or other spammy, non-fun links are subjected to immediate termination by the linky hostess!

[tweetthis]I linked up with Curious as a Cathy for some not-so #WW fun & I invite you to join the party! #art #vintage #Christmas[/tweetthis]

Have a blessed day and I’ll see ya around Blogosphere! 😉

X💋X💋, Cathy

  1. We’ll likely be staying home during the holidays unless we decide on a little trip to somewhere nearby. Being at home is just fine with me if we’re not taking a trip back east to see family.

Love your sketch. You’re most talented.

You enjoy your time with hubby. It’s a busy time of year.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Love you. ♥

  3. Love Celtic Women – beautiful voices! I like anything vintage pertaining to Christmas. There seems to a charm about it that is now disappearing. Your sketch is delightful and definitely has a vintage flair.
