The Winding Way

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  This week’s theme is whatever music moves you

Anytime a new-to-me song or artist grips my attention, I save a link for future reference.  Today’s music pick was inspired by Drillers Place when he put up The Teskey Brothers, “Oceans of Emotions” as one of his 4M choices more than a year ago.  I thought I’d share the entire playlist that song can be found on The Winding Way album.

Remember music themes are only suggestions.  I don’t care one way or another.  The important thing is to share whatever music moves you. Now, it’s your turn!

This is a music link up.  Your post must contain at least one song or your URL is marked “No Music”.

Wrapping things up, Sandee from Comedy Plus celebrated her birthday on the 9th this month.  I hope you had a special birthday, my darling friend!  If I missed yours please let me know in comments and I’ll get you added to my calendar next year!

Simply click the like button to let me know you stopped by or if you want to leave me a message then that’s fine while I’m away from Blogosphere. I will do all returns asap. Have a boogietastic week!

I married my high school sweetheart. Our courtship began 48 years ago this September. I reinvented my pencil sketch from 2020. If you look back on the original you’ll see the differences in my Procreate illustration. I used my Brushstrokes app for a final touch.

For curious minds, wondering about the different school colors.  My freshman year was at the junior high he attended and he was a senior in high school.  The following year, I went to IHS and he was in college.

  1. Hi again, Cathy!

It was a blessing in disguise that you had no BOTB for Oct. 1 because it prompted me to click back to this 4M post. I certainly am glad I did. These Australian Blues Brothers are amazing! The Teskey Bros. sound exactly like Otis Redding, and the arrangements are ripped from the vaults of the legendary Stax/Volt Records in Memphis. It’s hard to believe such authentically soulful sounds come from those blokes Down Under. I thoroughly enjoyed every song as well as the videos. Thanks for the introduction!

The color illustration depicting you and DH in the early months of your lifelong romantic journey brings tears to my eyes.

I know you are basically away from blogging at present but, if you find time heavy on your hands at some point this month, I invite you to swing by Shady’s Place where I just unveiled my new RRR series. Take care, dear friend Cathy!

  2. Thank you for the kind shout out. I believe I discovered the Teskey Brothers from their appearance on CBS Saturday Mornings. The show always ends with a musical group and I found their sound appealed to me. Have a blessed week.

  3. I love your video today. I also enjoy any music John posts. He also does a wonderful Christmas music marathon each year. I’m sure you know that.

Thank you for the birthday cake and wishes. My birthday was on the 8th and I’m a young 73. I feel I’m about 25. Act like a teenager most of the time.

Awww on you and DH. I know you’re both lucky to have found each other and have lasted over the decades. You’re both a most wonderful example of true love.

Have a fabulous day and week, my friend. Love and hugs. ♥

  4. The Teskey Brothers – I would have thought they were a Motown group from the first song (except for the video!) I looked them up and they are from Australia. They have an interesting sound! And awww…your sketch for this week. Hope the weather back home didn’t ruin your vacation fun. Alana ramblinwitham
