Awww Mondays’ hostess, Sandee from Comedy-Plus is this month’s honorary co-hostess. This week’s theme is whatever music moves you which is a great opportunity to continue with the process of absorbing posts previously published on a now private WP blog I created here on CAAC. I will eventually permanently delete that site to minimize confusion. In the 80s the hit TV series Miami Vice introduced the pop band, Miami Sound Machine with front singer, Gloria Estefan. Today, I’m sharing with you Gloria’s greatest hits. Are you The Rhythm Is Going To Get You on the dance floor!
This album has a mix of late 80s and 90s song titles but I had forgotten the back story behind “Coming Out of the Dark”, track 10. The inspiration for the song came from the March 1990 horrific bus accident she was in while on tour with her husband and son and the long road of recovery that followed. I actually remember this and remember saying a prayer for her recovery.
I’ve taken the liberty to add to the original post with the addition of another Gloria Estefan playlist of her album, The Standards, a collection of cover songs. This album is slower paced with great background music to let your thoughts just roam.
The party co-hostess are featured in my right side bar underneath the 4M banner. The guidelines are simple. Every other week, a suggested (not mandatory) theme is given to build your song picks. YouTube and other music sites have options to create and embed playlists or individual songs into your post. On the off weeks, we dance to whatever music moves you – your choice. Finally, to access the dance party, just add your music post below, and visit others on the floor. Let the party begin!
I continue to be away from Blogosphere. I just need the breathing space to cope with the loss of Daddy. I can’t believe he’s gone but thankfully memories of him will always be with me.
My scheduled posts will continue to publish on time. Next up, is my mid-month BOTB installment this Friday. This is CAAC signing off, have a boogietasticweek! X💋X💋, Cathy

I have always liked Gloria Estefan. Great quote. XO
No matter what Gloria Estefa does, she has a wonderful voice. I especially like the standards (of course, you know me and the standards…) Welcome back!
The rhythm did get me (in a good way). I had never seen the Conga video and it was nice hearing others of Gloria’s greatest hits, many of which I hadn’t heard in a long time. I continue to think of you, Cathy. Take care. Alana ramblinwitham
