The Legion Has Left the Building

Yeah know, I really like The Celebrity Apprentice, but I’m really bothered how the past two episodes the stars have given in too easily resulting in their final fate of being fired.  Last night’s task was to produce a 30-second spot for ACN’s new video phone.

The men continue to have a blast doing their task.  Lil John was the project leader.  I definitely did not approve of their risqué choose because it was not family friendly by normal standards.  I’ll give the men this, it was funny and well done.

NeNe Leakes headed up the project for the women.  The group of savvy women pulled together key elements as given by ACN’s Corporate Big Wigs to produce an emotional spot.  I loved that the women’s commercial spoke to me as a mother.

A 400 plus audience decided which team won.  The vote count was close. The men squeezed out the ladies by capturing the 53% of the votes.  Much to my surprise, the men’s chancey commercial paid off in spades.  Lil John will receive $20,000 to give to his charity United Methodist Children’s Home.  Way to go, Lil John!

This is the third week straight, the women were left to face Donald Trump in the boardroom.  Would NeNe be thrown under the bus  Unlike, past project leaders, the women sided with NeNe agreeing she was an excellent manager!

When Trump asked Marlee who was the weakest link, she named Jackson.  La Toya disagreed strongly saying just because she’s quiet doesn’t mean she’s the weakness and did everything that was asked of her, if not more.   LaToya’s fight spirit done with class and femininity impressed me. NeNe gave her opinion and as expected, expressed Dionne fell short.  Trump asked Hope, who had pressed earlier for being one of the weak links asked who he should fire.  She thought about it briefly before saying, “Dionne”.  Like clockwork Trump posed the same question to Warwick.  I was certain, she would say NeNe because she’s was the Project Leader.  However, that wasn’t the case.  Instead, Dionne half-way between playing and sarcasm agreed, she would fire herself, too. Then, quickly she changed her mind, but it was too late. Mr. Trump said, “Dionne, you’re fired!”

What a bizarre twist to this episode! Am I disappointed Dionne got fired? Nope.  I’m glad to see her go.  I felt like her hierarchy attitude weighed the women down creating a negative energy. It’s about time, we can say, The Legion has left the building. Next!

  1. Once again thanks soooo much for the update! My husband and I went to see Yanni last night and missed this. (I am not one to record so I am glad you had an update)

I am thrilled as well that Dionne is gone. I used to love her music and was just shocked and appalled at her attitude when I saw her a couple of weeks ago. I never expected her to be the unlikeable woman that she has portrayed herself to be. I am hoping that in her daily life she isn’t as bad as she seems on camera.

  2. @Caren…Glad to be of service. I always thought over the years she was not quite as warm as others in interviews, but she comes off acting like I’m better than you. I totally do not get that when anyone in the lime light portray themselves as such coz you know they aren’t really any better than the average person.
