This is day 19 of the A to Z Challenge. The letter “Q” is a difficult alpha prompt. In 2017, I drew the Evil Queen from Snow White. I was thrilled to finally bring her to life in living color. It took me more than three days to complete the recreation. That includes sketching and filling my illustration with the right pigment to match the image I found online. What do you think?
It’s time to head over to the A2Z headquarters and you’re welcome to come with me. I will leave you with a new-to-me song discovery, “Queens Don’t” by RaeLynn. Thanks for including me in your day. This is CAAC signing off, I’ll see you tomorrow with the next letter in the alphabet!

You did that baddie up real good!
Your drawing leaps to life in the color update. And I like the song. Empowering lyrics! Alana ramblinwitham
Loving your coloring your black and white sketches. Beautiful, Cathy.
I linked this post to Wordless Wednesday.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Love and hugs. ♥
Queen is always a good go to for Q. I used “Queen” for my Q post as well. Excellent job with the Evil Queen.

Hi Cathy!
I’m back home from my medical procedure, dear friend, and Curious as a Cathy fo find out what you have in store for Q-Day.
Yessum, I remember your Evil Queen sketch, and the transformation to Living Color is glorious! I might have remarked originally that the queen’s face resembles that of Lucille Ball. I am even more sure of it now that I see her in color. I like her cruel, glaring eyes, her majestic crown and costume, and how her hand is firmly gripping the poison apple. I think you were right for leaving the background neutral. Perhaps that’s because you simply ran out of time, but it works in your favor in some of these colorized drawings to make the main subject pop and not fill the edges of the frame with great detail and color. Well done, Cathy!
I thoroughly enjoyed Texas singer/songwriter Racheal Lynn Woodward’s girl power anthem “Queens Don’t.” With empowering affirmations that include “turn pain into power,” the lyrics are similar to basic tenets taught in motivational seminars. I like how RaeLynns clear, refined voice gets inside my head.
Thank you very much for patiently waiting for me and for a very entertaining Q-Day post, dear friend Cathy. That Queen image is stunning. Have a wonderful and Almost Wordless Wednesday and I’ll be back tamale for your R-Day post!
Oh I think this is my favorite. Love it. Have a wonderful day.
That is some crazy talent there.
