This week DH & I are taking some vacation days that he must use or loose. We’ll be doing this again the week after next, too. Today’s art theme is ‘The Big Screen’.
Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol has long been a favorite of mine. The story is about the transformation of a grumpy old man into a new creature overnight. The kind of hope that can only come with a Christmas miracle. Our world is in so much darkness these days but let’s not forget to look within ourselves for the light and if you can’t see it there then look to others who brightly shine the true reason for the season.
For Thankful Thursday I count my blessings to spend with DH. This always brings a lot of joy to my life to share special moments with him. Well…every minute spent with him is special but you know what I’m talking about. 😉 I won’t have a chance to join in on Kat’s writing prompts this week while on staycation but if you like these sorts of memes then hop over to play along.
Thanks for stopping in with your morning coffee for a peek at my latest illustration and …oh yeah, thanks for not spilling it on my artwork. 😉 I invite you to visit Rain’s Garden to browse through the gallery of artistry.
Although, I’m away in Blogosphere, I do have a post set for tomorrow. Have a doodletastic day! X💋X💋, Cathy

I’m with Scrooge on saving money, but he went too far lol….great illustration Cathy!! 🙂 I’m happy that you are spending some nice lovey dovey time with your DH!!! 🙂
May we all learn the true meaning of Christmas as Scrooge did.
I love your art piece of old Eb because you captured his penny pinching ways but with a little fear in his eyes. Nice old song to listen to
Ohhh girl I love this art! A great piece for sure. Vaca, how nice. Can’t go wrong with this song. Have a great day.
Good picture of ol’ Ebenezer!
Bing Crosby sang the original “Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep” to Rosemary Clooney in the movie “Holiday Inn.” Sandi did a nice version, though.
Actually it was White Christmas to be a smarty pants:)
Damn! I always get those two mixed up…
I always love your sketches. You’re most talented.
You and I are both alike with it comes to our hubbies. We’re lucky gals and we know it.
Have a fabulous day. Love and hugs. ♥
Such wonderful art! I hope you two are enjoying your time off together!
