Rain’s prompt this week is “egg”.
I love big breakfasts eggs, gravy, biscuits, grits, and sausage! But, I don’t make them too often. I’d be fat as a little pig, if I did. lol Eggs are an important part of our day. For breakfast nearly every day, we have them. I scramble a couple of eggs with a little milk, salt, pepper and onion powder. I use avocado oil, which is healthier for you and I let the eggs cook until done on each side before serving. Sometimes, I’ll make an omelet filled with onions, green peppers, and cheddar cheese. No matter what type of eggs I make, we usually have Texas Pete to go with them. I love a little spice to start my day!
An egg dish I haven’t made in a long time is quiche. Any number of ways is good but what I’m wanting to make is a spinach quiche. The thing is, DH is a wee bit sensitive to spinach so I may have to wait on this. I can always make a ham and cheese quiche. Yum!
The nursery rhythm doesn’t answer why Humpty Dumpty fell. I think the egghead was all scrambled because he was falling in love.
I’m thankful
That I got an earlier dental appointment for my crown work. I got everything done all on Tuesday, even had my permanent crown made and seated. Yay! 👏
Things turned out okay for my sister’s recent blood sugar shooting up over 500 last week. She had to go to the hospital. They put her on an IV and gave her magnesium since her count was low. This is the second time this has happened that I know about since Christmas.
We finally got DH’s dental appointments scheduled. He has four lined up between now and early May for 12 hours of work set to do on him. It’s not easy being in the dental chair for hours but if anyone can do it, it’s him. He’s one tough cookie! Please keep him in prayer.
Our son doesn’t have Covid but his wife and son do. Please pray for my daughter-in-law and little grandson to get well fast and that our son doesn’t get sick! 🙏
Tomorrow on CAAC, I have two headline features The first is my newest edition of Battle of the Bands and my second is another FFO portrait. Stop by if you can, have a doodletastic day! 😘

Make a ham and broccoli quiche and serve yourself some spinach on the side, it will satisfy you both.
Your art is always great to see.
Prayers for all, I’m glad your dental stuff is done.
That’s a good idea to have spinach on the side! Thanks for the prayers for everyone and for visiting, Mimi!
Great sketch of Humpty Dumpty! I love the facial expression. 😆 I wish I could eat eggs, because they are a healthy source of protein, but unfortunately, my system can’t tolerate them. Hubby likes them, though. I’m glad all went well with your crown and I hope DH’s dental work will also go smoothly. That sounds serious about your sister! Best wishes for good health to her and also your son and family. Fingers crossed he won’t catch COVID!
Debbie,
My sister has diabetes, high blood pressure, and a few other things going on. She takes insulin shots and meds for other issues. Anytime you have that much going on then things don’t work right all the time. I hope she gets a handle on it. Yeah, I hope my son doesn’t get Covid, too. Thanks for visiting!
Your sister has many challenges! Hubby has type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure also, but it’s well-controlled with medication, thankfully. Wishing her all the best!
Love that you thought of humpty dumpty!
Sorry about your sister, so scary.
My sister is a diabetic. I’m not sure if she ate something to make her sugar spike or what but it is worrisome that this has happened again. Thanks for dropping by!
Poor Humpty! Cool art though, I like! There sure is lots of dental things happening with you and DH. Prayers to those with the evil Covid, not fun. Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Yeah, it’s awful that we both have dental issues. His is a bigger deal. At least he seems so to me. Thanks for the prayers!
Me again- I will pray for your sister too.
Glad you got your dental work done. Your hubby sounds like mine was last year. He had to get several crowns. I will pray for your daughter-in-law and grandson.Cute Humpty Dumpty. XO
Dental work is never an easy thing and if you’re having problems then you know it’s going to be costly no matter what! Thanks for the prayers for everyone!
Do we have to call you “Your Majesty” after you get your crown? (I usually insist on “Your Immenseness”…)
It has a nice sound but Queenie is less stand-offish. After all, we’re all friends, so an informal addressing works with me. 😂🤣
