Good morning, kittens & dawgs! I’m happy that you decided to join me for this week’s edition of Skywatch Friday. Skywatch Friday is a global network of photographers sharing images from a skyward perspective and although my photo does not capture much of the heavens, I very much like it all the same.
I took the above photo while on hiatus a few weeks ago. I love how the large maple frames the photo, don’t you? The sky is slightly visible above the old Grist Mill between the trees. It rained earlier that morning and the clouds hung over our head all day. The Grist Mill is operational, the best of my knowledge but it wasn’t open when we were there. The nearby visitors center sells fresh ground corn meal from the mill. Life in this quaint pioneer community was difficult and one I really wouldn’t want to live, but it’s fun to fantasize about those times all the same. Would you be happy living in a world without the conveniences you’ve come to enjoy?
Thank you for making me apart of your day. Until we meet on the other side of the lens next, have a foto-tastic day!
Would you like to participate in my Happy Birthday Club? If so, then simply send your name, blog URL, and birthday (month and day or complete birthdate – whatever you are comfortable with) to: curiousasacathy@gmail.com and I’ll be sure to list you on my special birthday post for that month
