Last Saturday’s outing took us north just across the Tennessee state line into southern Kentucky.
We had gorgeous skies overhead and scorching summer temperatures, but we enjoyed the day of leisure.
We want to plan a return trip this fall with the promise of a tamer forecast to enjoy outdoor activities.

Beautiful landscape and pretty flower!
Lovely puffy clouds, and unspoiled green forests. It would be fun to explore there when it is not so hot. The Echinacea looks pretty, I always marvel at how prickly the disks feel.
These are amazing photos. Thanks for taking me to a part of my country that is not so far away that I have nevertheless never seen.
I love the photo with our flag in it. I know Americans are often looked up on as being xenophobix and ultrapatriotic because we put the flag everywhere. But that’s the view from the outside looking in.
From the inside looking out, it’s an assurance that we can make this grand experiment called the United States work.
