I took this picture in 2012 from Mt. Mitchell on the Blue Ridge Parkway shortly after getting my Big Girl camera. I was quite green using my new DSLR messing up most of my settings. This picture isn’t awful but it could’ve been better had I lowered the exposure.
During the government forced lockdown in 2020, I kept myself busy playing with old photos and this one one of them. I tweaked the original photo above in Pixelmator dropping the exposure and bumping the color adjustments for a dramatic sunset and the trees transformed into a silhouette in the foreground.

The last thing I did was to recreate my photographic into a painting-like image using Brushstrokes applying S3 painting effect and additional color adjustments in that app.

If this shot looks familiar, it’s because I shared very similar photos to this one. Sometimes, it’s just hard to know which one I like the best. This is just another example of archived images I planned to share but never got around to until now. I hope you enjoyed the view. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
