Skywatch Friday Stone Mountain in the Fall

Good-morning kittens and dawgs! I’m delighted you decided to pop in for another visit. If you stopped by last week, I shared Mabry Mill in the fall and I thought I would share another fantastic sky view we enjoyed.

It’s time for Celebrate the small things.

I celebrate…

  • visiting my 93-year Father-in-Law (FIL).
  • that my 93-year FIL looks better than he did a year ago.
  • the wonderful woman, Frances, who cares for my FIL 2-days a week.

Life should be celebrated, even when it seems like you have no reason to celebrate. Just look around, I bet you’ll see something good! What are you celebrating?

One way to celebrate is with  Friendship Friday and Friday Features Linky Party, where you’re sure to make new friends and get lots of inspiration to boot!

That’s a wrap for now, but if you like to dance then I invite you to hop over this Sunday for another edition of Battle of the Bands. Thanks for visiting. Until we meet on the other side of the lens, have a fototastic day!

  1. You have the most gorgeous landscapes around you — I’m celebrating that we get to see it thanks to your photography skills. 🙂
Today I am celebrating that I can go live a life of freedom, enjoy times out with loved ones and not have to live in fear of being terrorized. We are so blessed.

    1. Peter, actually that’s Stone Mountain State Park that you see in the distance. Thanks for dropping by for a visit. I hope you have a fototastic weekend!

  2. Lovely photograph Cathy! Happy to hear you are celebrating the small joys in life and that your FIL is doing better. Hope you have an amazing weekend – thanks for the shout-out! 🙂

  3. 93?! Holy cow! But it sounds like he’s doing great, and it’s very good that he has a nice woman who helps out. Thanks for sharing the lovely pic. I never see much in my sky except blue. It’s sunny and cloudless about 85% of the time here. Too bad I’m not a sunshine-loving type of person. (Sun hurts my blue eyes and give me headaches.) I hope you have a lovely weekend!

  4. Breathtaking view! Lovely photo, Cathy. Yes, there’s always something to celebrate. Just being alive and with all one’s faculties intact (well, most 😉 ), for instance. That’s great news about you FIL!

    1. Debbie, celebrating life period is a good thing. It’s better than the alternative, don’t you agree? lol I can’t say I have all of my faculties intact. I think I lost most of those raising three children; two of which are girls. Need I say more? 😀 thanks for dropping by today. See ya on Sunday!

      1. Agreed! LOL I’m taking the weekend off, so no BOTB for me this time, but I will be posting other stuff next week and be back for the Dec. 1 BOTB.

        1. Alrighty, Debbie! I certainly understand. I’m just about ready to take another blog break, but I hope I can wait until after the New Year rolls in. We’ll see how things go,though. Have a good weekend!

        2. Thanks for understanding, Cathy. 🙂 Blogging is difficult for me on the weekends, as I’m busy offline, with hubby and clients. I’ll probably take a few weeks off from Dec. to Jan. as well. We all need a break, now and then.

        3. Thanks for understanding. Blogging on weekends is not my preference, as I’m busy offline with hubby and clients. I’ll probably take two or three weeks off in Dec./Jan. also. We all need a break now and then. Enjoy yours too, whenever you decide to take it.

  5. Gorgeous photo! I live in West Texas. It’s pretty flat and dusty around here. 🙂 I’m new here (from Create with Joy) and wandering around like an orphan in a mansion! Your photos are such a treat! ? I agree with you about recognizing blessings even when things seem bleak. That has helped me get through some pretty tough times. Great advice! Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Gina, recognizing blessings even when things seem bleak helped me a lot, too. We’re going through such a period right now with DH out of work and that’s the sort of story we’ve dealt with several times in our 36-years of marriage, but God has always been good to us and I stand how sheer faith that He has things mapped out. It’s just a matter of time to see the road that He wants us to journey. Have a good weekend and thanks for visiting!

  6. Awe, it’s great your FIL looks better than last year! Great thing to celebrate:D
I know a 95-yr old man, and he looks great, so here’s to men in their 90s! 🙂

    1. Thanks for visiting, Karla. It’s amazing how people are living well into their 90s and sometimes passing the 100 mark. My FIL’s mother was almost 97 when she passed. There must be some good genes in my husband’s family.
