Skywatch Friday Painted Sky

This week has been gorgeous, kittens and dawgs! In fact, it’s been so NICE that I found myself outdoors a lot and once again I neglected my responsibilities in Blogosphere. Shame on Cathy!

You’re the best and I know you can’t fault me for taking advantage of soaking up a little sunshine. Today, I’m borrowing from my archives and am sharing another beautiful sunset.

I couldn’t resist using the same image in Brustrokes. I REALLY like this cool app! Now I can say, here’s a painted sky. lol

I’m sharing my photo-art with the SWF team and s-A(R)T-urday.  Now, I’m joining Lexa in Celebrate the small things.

I’m celebrating…

  • the return of spring-like weather. Nature might be teasing us, but I’m so lovin’ it!
  • the return of DST. YAY! I’ve already notice the daylight extending a little each day, so the time change will be a nice boost. I wish it was always on DST, don’t you?
  • finding out when I went for my quarterly Sotopelle insert (Hormone Replacement Therapy) appointment that I had a ninety dollar credit on my account. 🙂
  • getting my HRT taken care of. I really needed the boost to ease pesky menopause symptoms.

What are you celebrating?

Join the party below!

Let’s begin celebrating with Friendship Friday and Friday Features linky parties where you’re sure to make new friends and get lots of inspiration!

I am participating in the A-Z April blog challenge. Starting next week running through the end of April this regularly hop will double with my mid-week post. That’s a wrap for now, but if you like music then I invite you to come back for Monday’s Music Moves Me.  Until next time, have a fototastic weekend!

  1. oohhhh aaawwww – that app is great! It really gives the photo a little something extra, and it’s a perfect edit for a sunset. This is the crazy busy season and I am not around much until after this March break too. Just too much to do and places to go. But hopefully I will return with some photos too.

    1. Les, yes Brushstrokes is a fabulously fun app! March is full this year, isn’t it? I mean, there’s spring break, St. Patrick’s Day, and Easter. I’m just glad to have such a wonderful circle of friends in Blogosphere who understand that there is more to life than blogging. I know bite my tongue, girl, right? lol I’ll be looking forward to your photos and inspiring posts. Have a good time with the fam!

  2. Oh the silliness of the time change – but that photo is nothing but stunning!

    Have a great weekend Cathy!

  3. Daylight Saving Time means that I once again must get up in the dark. Sigh. It was nice to have the sun up when I got up.

Pretty sky. We had lovely rain today. I do love the rain.

    1. Liz, the good thing is the school year is only a few months away from ending and before long you can enjoy summer break. I love the thought of long days to come!

  4. Your sunset pic is gorgeous! That could be a great book cover pic right there! Yay for Spring and for the time change to give everyone more daylight. I’m glad you’re relieved by your meds (was l so lucky to have few symptoms during menopause), and double yay for a credit at the doctor’s office! Have a great weekend! 🙂

    1. Lexa, thank you! The Brushstrokes app really is a lot of fun and it does an amazing job with converting an photograph to painting-like image. Once DH gets a job, I’m may try a professional print shop to see how it turns out and if it looks nice then I want to frame it. Menopause stinks, but thankfully we modern medicine to our rescue!

  5. If they were to set the clocks forward one hour and LEAVE THEM THERE, I’d be happy with DST. This screwing with the clock twice a year is a drag.

  6. Hi, dear Cathy!

That app is amazing. It really did turn your picture into a painting. Fort Loudon Lake looks like a serene spot. This past week I celebrated fair skies, refreshing breezes and a problem free trip by car. Mrs. Shady and I needed to make a journey across the state. Instead of relying on the overcrowded interstate highway, scene of numerous accidents and congested spots that bring traffic to a virtual standstill, we used a scenic rural route two-thirds of the way out and back. The highway we took is in excellent condition and we were practically the only car on the road since nearly everybody else routinely uses the interstate (resulting in gridlock). With a sunny blue sky and miles of woodlands and of farm pastures to pass along the way, the round trip was thoroughly enjoyable rather than stressful. We even saw pretty red and gold “fall” leaves for the first time this season here in Florida. The leaves turned color thanks to a prolonged cool spell we have experienced in recent weeks. What a treat!

I wish you a safe and happy weekend, dear friend Cathy!

    1. Tom, it pays to take the less traveled path sometimes. Although, our interstate traffic is bad it isn’t it an all the time problem like down there. We like venturing countryside routes mainly for exploration & relaxation. It’s a nice way to spend the day. It’s interesting you’re just getting to enjoy fall type colors and our spring blooms are beginning to show this week. After being mostly indoors for much of the past two week it was a nice discovery while DH & I enjoyed running errands. Enjoy the weekend, my friend!
