In honor of St. Patrick’s Day for the entire month of March I will be featuring groups and artists from the Emerald Isle. Last week, Time Out for Mom, pitched some of her favorite Irish singers. I was delighted for the list of new names to add to my list. One of which, I chose to bring to you. Maybe, you’ve heard of them and maybe not. With that, let’s perk our ears to the sound of The Cranberries!
The Limerick, Irish rock band rose to international fame during the 1990s with their début album, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? Oddly, I do not remember them. After doing a little research, I found these tunes to be amongst their pop hits.
In 2004, the group took a little hiatus so individual band members could pursue their personal musical dreams and then in 2009 the group reunited, then later recording Roses in 2012.
At this time, I can’t say for sure what’s become of this group. Are they still together? Have they broken off to go in different directions? I took a peak at The Cranberries official website for recent news by the group, but the last updates where made in 2012.
The good thing about when a group comes and goes, their music lives on forever! Thank you for taking time out of your weekend in hopping over to listen to the music! I hope you enjoyed your visit. In fact, I hope you enjoyed it so much that you cannot wait to tell your friends. Go ahead, hit the share (Facebook, Twitter, Google+) button! You know you wanna. 😉

I like this group, especially the first song. It’s one I’d heard but never knew who was singing.

Yeah!! Love them!
perfect songs for getting in the mood for St. Paddy’s Day.
I love their song Zombie. of course. 😉
they had a long absence previously, then reunited for the Rose album, and while officially they are still supposed to be together — there is some kind of undisclosed legal proceeding involved between some members of the band. hopefully they get it sorted out and go back to great music!
