Saturday 9 Do You Want To Dance?

Howdy y’all! I know you weren’t expecting me in Blogosphere today since I’m generally MIA on the weekends.  I’m a bit surprised, too.  DH and I wanted to take down a small tree but it’s too wet to do that today.  I guess we’ll have to do that tomorrow. *sigh*

This week a new reader stopped by with an invite to join some of the question memes that he either hosts or takes part in.  These details I’m a little muddy on. I probably won’t get much chance to participate in the Saturday or Sunday memes unless I figure out a way to do so, but Mondays stand a better chance for me.

This week’s Saturday 9 , hosted by Sam Winters, theme is Do You Want To Dance?

1) Do you check your cellphone first thing in the morning?  My iPhone wakes when I raise it at which time I take a quick glance to see if anything pressing came through over night that needs my attention.

2) Are there dirty dishes in your sink right now? Not at the moment.

3) Have you laughed yet today?  Have I laughed? Hmmm, I don’t know if I have but I probably have and don’t remember. I’m a pretty happy person.

4) Have you written a check in the last week?  Nope. I rarely write checks. About the only time I do this is when I go to the dentist. I like paying online options when possible.

5) If you met someone who shared all your strengths and weaknesses, would you like him/her?  Probably, after all I like me. 🙂

6) Is a bride ever too old to have a big wedding?  If that’s what she wants then I’d say go for it. Our wedding wasn’t big. I’d say it was small by most people’s standards and if I had to do it all over then I think I’d rather run off. That would be less stressful and wouldn’t cost a lot of money.

7) Do you put potato chips in your sandwich to make it crunchy?  I haven’t eaten potato chips on my sandwich in years but I like it like that.

8) Have you ever taken a nude photo of someone (not a baby)?  I can’t say that I have. That could mean one of two things but I haven’t.

9) On Monday, will you be playing Bud and Mimi’s cool new meme, Monday Madness? (Our last shameless plug, I promise.)  I’m undecided. I co-host Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me and I like having everything done ahead of schedule. The only way this will work for me is if the questions are posted way ahead of time so I add them in a my leisure.

If you like boogieing, then consider joining me on Monday.  Our mewsic theme is honoring National Neighbor or Sons’ Day. Throw together some tunes, hit the dance floor with the 4M crew, and Dance With Me!

  1. The memes do sound like fun, but since i prepare my posts ahead, i am not sure how i would work them in, especially since i have so much on my plate right now. You have great answers to the questions.

  2. Hi Cathy!

Looking forward to Monday’s Mewsic day. Can you believe it’s already the end of September? I wrote my post so long ago, it’s going to be fun to see what I included. I know the first tune I used… someone’s going to get a giggle out of!

    1. Mary,

I try to revisit my scheduled posts before they go live just to refresh my memory and to fix mistakes. I’ve stumbled across a few of those in past weeks. I hear you on can’t believe it’s the end of September. Next month will be busy for us, won’t it? I’m taking part in your annual RMF again. I have all of my posts done, so yay me! The last weeks DH and I will be on vacation. We aren’t going anywhere but it’ll be our time to relax together. I’m sure I’ll be around Blogosphere on and off but it won’t a priority. I hope you’ll forgive me and understand if I’m not on top of my blogging game toward the end of next month. 🙂 I’m now curious to see what song you’re talking about. Have a good night, darlin’!

  3. Nice to meet you, Knoxville! We’re not far apart. This was not the best Saturday 9 set of questions ever – I don’t like the yes/no ones – but I promise they are generally good! So try again next week. Welcome to the meme – nice group of folks who play it.

    1. Hey C.D. Thanks for the return visit. I love to rise to the occasion of any question posed. No apologizes are needed. The weekends I generally stay clear of most forms of social media but I may try doing Saturday9 again. I just don’t know when yet. It could work out for me next weekend but I’ll wait to see what life brings this way.

    1. Brian,

I’m glad you found time to read my answers. As I said, I hadn’t planned on it but with our plans falling through I thought this was a good time to do something different. It might be I can work this meme in every now and then. Have a good evening, furriend!

  4. Welcome to the Saturday 9ers! I think you’ll love it. I do Music Monday, or did for a long time. I’ll come back to see your Monday Meme – hopefully I’m not off to see the Wizard* again this week.
    *Doctor

    1. Yes, do come by to dance with me on Monday! There’s always room for one more. I hope you don’t have to see the doctor, either. That’s no fun! Take care and thanks for the return visit!

  5. Glad you checked out Saturday 9. I hope ou have a chance to try Sunday Stealing. I checked Monday’s Mewsic, but since I know nothing about today’s music, it won’t work for me. (my musical tastes are somewhere between the 1940s and early 19960s. I didn’t even like Elvis!)

    1. Hi Bev

I have found (as have several others) there are plenty of ways to incorporate your own musical tastes into the Monday’s Mewsic. I’ll be the musical conductor for October, and while the plan is to celebrate Rocktober – I’ve left the themes wide open to interpretation. Join us – because technically, all you need is ANY type of music on your post to qualify joining in.

    2. Bev,

Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me can be any kind of mewsic that moves you. If you’re interested in playing along then come to the party with your tunes and we’ll be happy to boogie with you! 😉 BTW, I love mewsic from the 40s!

  6. Welcome to Sat 9! Usually we don’t do y/n questions. Just mixing it up this week and trying something new. Hope you’ll join us again some time.

I loved your answer to #6. I think running off sounds more romantic than a big spectacle.
