Naturally the roses are for me and the strawberry cake is for DH. I experimented with a recipe I used before. We’re cutting back on eating foods that aren’t the best for you such as butter but finding the right balance is a trick. While I didn’t nail it, my first attempt wasn’t too bad.
While looking through past photo-edits, I found this Brushstrokes recreation of fresh July strawberries I did in 2020 which is a perfect fit for today!

I’m going to leave you with two new “strawberry” song titles. Have a wonderful day!
Released in 1977, the album peaked at number two on the R&B albums chart and number thirteen on the pop albums chart in the U.S. It includes the number-one R&B song, Strawberry Letter 23, and winner of a Grammy Award in 1978 for Best R&B Instrumental Performance, “Q”. Produced by Quincy Jones. – Love the vibe of this oldie!

Oh yum, I’ll bet that cake was so good!
I ate a slice of that cake. Delicious. You’re such a wonderful mate. I’ve always known that.
I linked this post to Wordless Wednesday.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥
Cake decorating is an art and you wrote that message so nicely. Strawberry Letter 23 was a favorite song of mine back in the day and I enjoyed hearing it. I didn’t know it had won those awards. Alana ramblinwitham
I don’t decorate super well but I do manage to write decent, though. Thanks for the nice compliment!
