ReverbNation Music Choices

This finger picking storyteller reminds me so much of Simon & Garfunkel and I immediately fell in love with his style. I knew I had to share with you Treehouse by Dan Heidt. I hope you like it, as much as I do.

Are you ready to boogie? Lace up your blue suede shoes. It’s time to dance!

Next up, I have a bit of country with Steffen Hughes.

Followed by the amazing rock strings of Spinphony!

I like Sarah McLaughlin, so this next artist I picked up on my radar from across the pond and I am her newest ReverbNation fan. Please, listen to Million Miles by Miranda Dickinson.

On behalf of the lovely Dancing Queen, Marie and her Solid Gold dancers Callie, Stacy, Becca, and I thank you for joining us for another week of Monday’s Music Moves Me.

Now, it’s time for you to ask us to step out on the dance floor with you. By linking your musical post (non-music link ups subject for labeling or removal) URL (not your main blog address) below you are inviting the 4M crew to boogie down to your tunes. Remember to hop over to dance with our Spotlight Dancer at #1.

NOTE: If you want a chance as the Spotlight Dancer, join the linky party with your music post.

Did you have a good time on the dance floor? I did. Why not show some blog love? Invite your friends to hit the dance floor with the 4M crew now. There’s always room for one more!

Monday’s Music Moves Me rules:

1. Grab XmasDolly 4M button here. 2. Display it on your blog. 3. Add your favorite YouTube videos.  FYI: we dance freebie style every other week, and on the off weeks we dance to a chosen theme picked by the previous week Spotlight Dancer. You can find it listed on XmasDolly’s side menu. That all being said, we aren’t music snobs. As long as you have tunes for us to dance to, then you’re cool!

Next stop… your place!  What music moves you?

  1. Hey, wow, thanks, Cathy, and thanks everyone for your kind words about my music! You can find me on iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby.. Linked here. Treehouses is a real favorite of mine, yes, definitely going back to simpler times but also keeping that youthful spirit alive as we grow older. I appreciate the remindings of JT and S&G… Both big influences on me. Happy Listening! 🙂

    1. Dan, thank you for stopping by. It was a pleasure to share Treehouses with my blog buddies. It’s a beautiful song that takes me back to many yesterdays ago. May God bless you with much success with your music career!

  2. Ooh I enjoyed those so much especially the last one! I LOVE it! Now I want to play!
Oh my I just wish I had the opportunity to learn an instrument 🙂

    Sweet sigh.

Have a wonderful week my dear Cathy!

  3. I thought of Don McLean (American Pie) as I listened to that first one. awesome guitar.
And love love that rich deep voice of Hughes – that gave me shivers.
and wow. just wow — those girls JAM!! awesome.

  4. With having a bad cold, the songs from today are really uplifting the spirits. Loved your songs!

    1. I think Dan has a James Taylor style, too. But…I first thought of Simon & Garfunkel when I heard him and I believe that’s because I listened to them a lot when I was a kid. I think I may get Treehouse. It really made me happy with the sweetness of childhood memories rolled into this song.

  5. Hi Cathy, You know the guy who sings “Treehouse” reminds me more of James Taylor than Simone & Garfunkel – but what a talent! And what a treat it was watching the violinists and cellist rock out and almost dance on Beethoven’s 5th. Some people are just so creative.

I enjoyed the songs you picked for today’s blog hop. You did good. Hope you have a great week and you keep the music going. Happy Monday!

    1. Belle, I agree with you and Steve. Dan does sound more like James Taylor, but Simon & Garfunkel popped in my mind first. Oh yeah, Spinphony really rocks! I love instrumentals set to rock music!
