It’s been nearly 5 years since I did a pencil sketch inspired by old photos for the TAD still life prompt. Last year, I managed to recreate the illustration as a color rendition using my Procreate app. I did a number of other recreations with the new Procreate design and although I’m tempted to share them all with you, I won’t. Firstly, I don’t want to bore you and secondly, the images I have on my site is straining it causing intermittent loading problems.

Although much of this week, I’ve shared something nearly every day this may not work out all the time. I’m still busy cleaning up issues with my blog, removing clutter from my computer, using my elliptical daily, running a house, cooking/baking, and the list goes on. I am trying to work things into my life in moderation instead of my life feeling lopsided. I know you understand and probably can relate.
Before I skip off, I want to share this interesting optical illusion of a lady’s facial profile. I don’t remember where I found it on the net but the artist’s copyright is on it. You can enlarge the image if you right click and open it in another tab. The objects within the drawing are easier to see. This is an excellent contribution for FFO. Hopefully, I’ll find time in the near future to actually do more face drawings.

Okay, that’ll do it for today. I’m leaving you with the first song title to come to mind, “Sweet Cherry Wine” by Tommy James & The Shondells. Until next time have doodletastic day!

Beautiful sketch, Cathy. My blog used to have slow loading issues due to my header image. I receive a weekly report from WordPress that analyzes my site and informs me of what can be improved.
I now run my headers through Squoosh in order to compress, and find it helps tremendously. As as FYI, your header shows up blurry on my computer and part of it is missing.
I cropped my header. That’s why it appears part of its missing. The image isn’t a good quality. I don’t know if that’s something my site did or because of the sizing limits for the blog layout. I’ll check into that. Thanks for the tips!
I learned that if you crop images, it brings them closer in, thus they appear distorted. I’ve had to compress all my images because of my theme and the sizing limits.. You’re most welcome!
That’s very pretty art, I’ll drink to that! Hey, a tune I actually knew LOL!
Lovely sketch, Cathy! I think most of us in the Blogosphere can relate to what you’re saying. I certainly can. The video wasn’t available in Canada, so here’s an alternative. Good song!
Debbie,
Thanks for the Canadian YT clip. I never check this! I appreciate your friendship and support. It means so much!
You’re welcome and likewise!
I can relate. I’ve stopped trying to overwhelm myself with too much of any one activity. Blogging has suffered, but I don’t guess anyone is hurting over it.
Lee
Lee,
As long as you and I have been doing this then yell, I know you can relate. It’s hard not to get overwhelmed and it really shouldn’t be that way. There will come a day when when I’ll want to do more of this but for now, I’m going to go where ever my mood takes me.
Fabulous post! I loved everything about it.
Thanks Diedre!
Great picture! Interesting thing about “Sweet Cherry Wine”: Tommy James said it was about the blood of Jesus…
That’s very cool! Thanks for sharing that tidbit with me.
