  1. Love your song choices, Cathy! Many of them are absolute favorites of mine! 🙂 Hope you had a fabulous Valentine’s Day! 🙂 Thanks for the love dance! 😉

  2. Cathy, I LOVEd your post. What is not to love? And your Sparks quote was great. I agree.
    Valentine Hugs!

  3. Oh wow, AMAZING playlist Cathy! I sooooo love Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” and the great Percy Sledge’s “When a Man Loves a Woman.” It just doesn’t get any better than that! I would’ve definitely picked those two if I hadn’t concentrated on rock love songs. I’ll be coming back and back and back again to listen to your playlist.
And “Unchained Melody” – so good. Makes me want to Netflix “Ghost” tonight!
I haven’t heard “Killing Me Softly” in years! Takes me right back to the early 70s when I was crushing on all kinds of boys…
    Fabulous!
Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day, my friend.

    1. I’m glad you enjoyed the playlist, Michele. Some of these songs I haven’t heard in a while, too. It’s great stumbling on them again. 🙂

    1. Lee,

Yep, there are tons of great love song and it was hard to come up with a small list but I just went with the first ones to come to mind or that held some sentimental memories. BTW, are you feeling better?

  4. #4! Definitely Percy Sledge. A great love song. Another great love song is Only You by Yaz. I may start doing this blog hop since I’m DJCK.

    1. Cathy,

Yes, the 4M gang would love to have you play along! There’s always room on the dance floor for one more. Thanks for stopping by to boogie with me!

  5. Hi Cathy; That’s a lovely array of songs. “Unchained Melody” will always remind me of that beautiful scend in “Ghost”, with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze. Love makes the world go ’round! 🙂

    1. Debbie,

I’m also reminded of that love scene from Ghost when I hear “Unchained Melody” and it always breaks my heart. Although I’m a strong person, it would nearly kill me (inside at least) if something ever happened to DH and I HATE thinking about it. Maybe, God will choose to take us from this life together so we’ll never be apart. Thanks for stopping by for a visit. 😉

  6. Beautiful love songs that I am seeing today. Your list is fab of course!
I have seen “Unchained Melody” a couple of times today.
    Carry on my mewsical friend!

    1. Michelle,

Long time, no see, my friend! I’m delighted you found your way over to my place for a bit of love. A few others on the dance floor picked the same selection but you can’t blame them. “Unchained Melody” is a classic love song and the Righteous Brothers’ vocals are silky smooth just like a good piece of chocolate. Thanks for boogieing with me. 🙂

  7. WOW, I MADE IT!!! Whew! Hope you saved a dance for me girlfriend! What a mess with my email huh? I was so happy I saw Stacy on-line & I asked her right away to pass the info on the linky! I think I only had my email twice this week can you believe that. Darn Comcast!!! grrrrrrrrr Anyway, fantastic list there girlfriend! Awwww & you have Steve Wonder, Dude of Dudes start us off, fabulous! Your list has my and Dave’s song by the Righteous Brothers! It was the first song we ever danced too! Anyway, have to fly. It’s been a long day, but you’re the first I have visited today. Big hugs and thanks for the two step sweetie! HUGS

    1. Marie,

I’ve had issues with Comcast over the years, too. Despite the difficulties with them, they are the only company in our area that offers high-speed cable internet which is good. I’d love to see more companies move into this market offering excellent high-speed service at a lower cost. This might keep Comcast on its toes and give the customer more options. I hope your email is straightened out now. I always save a dance for you and I’m glad you came by to boogie with me. 🙂

  8. What a great list! I’ve added your song choices to a larger playlist that I’ve put together for those moments when Mr Special and I want to have background music. (See… I still have a sliver of hope!)

    Jingle Jangle Jungle

  9. Wonderful songs! I dropped by from Sparks, and love the simple truth of your Bible verse. While love does not necessarily conquer all, it never fails to work in the ways God intends it to. We can never go wrong by responding to others from a place of love. It is the most powerful force in the Universe, because God is love!

    Josie Two Shoes ~ Sparks

  10. Very good list. Most of them would be on mine as well. I might add “You’ve Got a Friend” by James Taylor. Have a blessed week.

    1. “You’ve Got a Friend” came to mind but I was going for mushier romantic tunes for my playlist and Taylor’s song was a purrfect fit but it is a fabulous song! Thanks for stopping by! 😉

  11. Great love song choices. I haven’t heard Leeann Rimes in years, she has an amazing voice. Great spark too! Have a nice week.

  12. I do like some songs here but I love Cant take my eyes off of you. I always think of Lara’s Theme from Dr. Zhivago. Wishing you a great week ahead

    1. Birgit,

I did not know Lara’s Theme that you mentioned until I went to YouTube to hear it. I think it’s a pretty song but I would not think of it as a ‘love song’. Of course I have not seen Dr. Zhivago so maybe if I did it would click. 🙂

  13. I love Shania Twain! I always sing “You’re Still the One” whenever we have a karaoke session! “From this moment on” is my fave too.

    1. Veronica,

Shania Twain is my favorite female country artist. Karaoke session?! You better count me out on that one or else the dogs will howl. lol
