Mike Bauer Music

Good-morning, kittens & dawgs!  The weekends are for unwinding. There’s no better way to let go than with mewsic. I am happy to present a new artist from  ReverbNation,  Mike Bauer!

mikebauer

Mike Bauer is truly a gifted person. He’s a singer/songwriter, multi-talented instrumentalist, and independent recording artist. He comes from musical roots. His grandfather was a singer/tap-dancer on the 1950s TV program, Lawrence Welk and he played cello professionally.

I enjoyed Mike’s soulful R&B vibes in songs and I hope you’ll settle in or get to your feet; ever how the mewsic moves you there’s no one to judge you and give a listen to Mike Bauer!

IT’S TOO LATE
SUGAR
NEW HOME TEAM
LET’S TALK
ONE PIECE AT A TIME

Did you enjoy today’s mewsic? Which is your favorite song?

That’s a wrap for this week. I appreciate being apart of your weekend. Feel free to invite your friends to stop in for a listen. It’s a great feeling to share! Have a songsational Saturday!

What’s next, Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me!

  1. Hi, Cathy!

Mike Bauer is new to me but I am sure I watched his grandfather on The Lawrence Welk Show. You’re right. This guy’s got soul! He looks like Tony DiNozzo from NCIS and sounds like Curtis Mayfield. I thoroughly enjoyed Mike’s authentic retro style R&B doo-wop and the fine backing singers on “Is It Too Late.” On “Sugar,” Mike and his combo blew me away. “New Home Team” and “One Piece at a Time” are equally awesome. I admire how Mike is able to smoothly and seamlessly glide into the falsetto range. He reminds me of an artist I introduced a few months ago on SDMM, Francesco Yates:

The cat’s out of the bag! You really know how to pick mewsic that gives me paws and pleases my ears. Mike’s surely does. Thanks, Cathy!

    1. Tom, I’m delighted to see you drop by to listen to my artist featured today. I do not watch NCIS, so I wasn’t familiar with Tony DiNozzo until now. I compared his photos on Google and sure enough, you’re right Mike favors TD. Curtis Mayfield didn’t ring bell, either, and I had to double check this out for myself. Mike sounds a bit like the late Mr. Mayfield. I love the warm R&B tone in Mike’s vocals. It’s great when young singers go retro in their style. This really sets them apart from whats already out there. Thanks for sharing a link on SDMM to hear Francesco Yates. I will swing back over in a few for a listen. Oh yeah, I loved your closing….The cat’s out of the bag! You really know how to pick mewsic that gives me paws and pleases my ears. Aren’t you a clever boy?! 🙂

PS: Oh, yeah I remember Francesco Yates now. He has a nice voice, but I think Mike’s vocals are bit warmer and definitely have a more mature sound to my ear that I like better. However, the two artists are a good comparison, my friend, and I’m not very good at remember these sorts of things like you. Thanks for bringing it to my attention and allowing my ears another exposure to the lad Yates again.
