70s Retro #music with Billy Preston

mewsic moves me Monday music

How was your weekend, kittens and dawgs? No complaints here. It’s a new week and the mewsic is movin’ me. Saturday Songsuasion featured artist, Valerie Ghent, reminded me of a musician from the 70s I had all, but forgotten. In Valerie’s bio, she mentions that she shared the stage with the dude I’m spotlighting today. It’s time to get your funk on with these retro picks by Billy Preston! *applauds*

Do you remember Billy Preston? I bet you do! What mewsic has you movin’? I’m dying to hear! Enrich my senses, share a song title or YouTube vid.  Make me boogie woogie like a wild cat or mello-o-o-w me out with a slow sway. What ever you have, bring it on, baby cakes! 😉

This is a quick & painless way for others to find good tunes in Blogosphere by joining my no strings attached music hop, just add your music post URL below and wha-lah… instant traffic directed to your site. Clever, eh? I thought so.  Have a tunetastic week!

  1. Many times I remember the music and not the name of the musician. Weird huh, but yes I”ve heard this man before.
    Very good selections!

Hope you are well Cathy! Have a fun week!

  2. Ooops, I entered twice honey so sorry. I have to say I do love them all, but the last one is my most favorite tune. I listened to it twice. Mr. Cole is a phenomenon!!! Thanks for sharing and stickin’ with me on our rockin’ Mondays. You’re duh best my friend!!!!

    1. Marie, it’s always a pleasure to have you stop by to boogie with me. I’m glad you enjoyed today’s retro music choice! 😉

  3. Billy Preston was often referred to as the Fifth Beatle, for his work on the “Let It Be” sessions.

I only recall a couple of his songs, and you have them displayed here.

  4. Billy Preston was a lot of fun. Loved his music. Thank you for sharing today, it certainly put a pep in my step.

    1. Mary, I love good music vibs from the past! Last night DH & I sampled some listening to old classics on iTunes. It’s amazing the talent that once was and to think of how today’s musicians can’t match a tenth of retro artists. Thanks for dancing with me today. Now to boogie woogie over to your place!

  5. I remember Billy Preston because I liked him a lot. He’s a talented musician who worked with The Beatles before they broke up.

    Love,
    Janie
