Meet Me On Monday – Ice Cream to Annoying Word/Phrase

Welcome to the 31st edition of  “Meet Me On Monday!”  Java says:   “Blogging is a funny thing…we tell our most intimate thoughts for all to read and yet most of the time I find myself sitting and wondering, “who is this person!?” I know them…but yet I don’t know them! I want to know who the person is behind all those words so I thought of a great way for all of us to “meet” each other! Every Sunday I will post five get to know you questions that you can copy and paste into your own Monday post and we can all learn a little more about each and every one of us!!  “Its a great way to meet new friends and for others to get to know me better….one Monday at a time!!!”….as quoted by the Chacogirl!! I will make this SIMPLE and FUN!!!”

This week’s questions:

1. Do you like your ice cream in a dish, waffle cone, pretzel cone, sugar cone or cake cone?  I will eat ice cream anyway it’s served, but if I had to pick then it would be in a dish upside down with a cone – cake, waffle, or sugar.  That way I get the best of both worlds. Oooo don’t these look wonderful?

2. Do you read the newspaper daily? Newspaper? What’s that? I guess that answers that question, huh? We haven’t gotten the newspaper in forever. I kid you not. Well…we did buy one last fall and that’s only because we wanted the newspaper for odd jobs. You know like when polishing shoes or to use as packing material. An added bonus for us was we were able to use the coupons stuffed in the middle of the Sunday’s edition. If we want to read the news, then we can do online at no cost and no clutter.

3. Marinara or meat sauce?  Mmm, I love Italian food, period. I equally enjoy marinara or meat sauce, but in all fairness, when I make pasta then I serve meat sauce.

 4. Last time you cried?  Friday. I was introduced to Lynette Kraft’s book, In Faithfulness, He Afflicted Me.  Although I only read what portions Amazon would allow, I found myself in tears as I read the brief accounts based on true events in the Kraft family life. This will be an e-book I plan to buy and feature in a review.

5. What word/phrase do you find really annoying?  I have a few of these that really ruffle my feathers. My number one word, which I hate, hate, hate is the ugly F-word. This has become so flip in our society. Most people just spurt out this vulgar 4-letter word as common as a hello or goodbye without a second thought. Where are people’s manners?

Java will add a linky so we can follow who participates and get to know them better. Be sure to link the POST and not just your whole blog. Check Meet Me On Monday now!
