Kindness

I’m still behind on posts and I can’t get ahead to plan artwork for today’s art date.  I came close to just skipping it but I decided against that and just went with the flow.  The art prompt this week at Rain’s Garden is kindness.

For today’s artwork, I used Pixelmator Pro.  It’s a photo-editor similar to Photoshop.  I have the option to create an image from a blank canvas using color fills, texts, brushes (heart shapes), and filters (photographic 2) as you can see below.  Kindness is something you do for another but most often it’s a word and so I created this with you in mind.

My bloggy friends are the best!

Now for my act of kindness, I’m going to share with you a bit of kindness humor.

Will an axe of kindness work? It will if you can’t get out to cut your own wood and someone does it for you. 🙂

I couldn’t resist doing a quick Procreate doodle.  It’s not my finest work but it was fun nonetheless and I’m sincerely trying to get back into the game.

Please, leave a message in comments so I’ll know to come by your place and thank you for making me a part of your day.   This is CAAC signing off, please join me tomorrow for my new edition of Friday Fun Stuff.  Have a doodletastic day! X💋X💋, Cathy

    1. Andrea,

I think many of us can relate to the older couple in my first humorous clip. That’s not only a sign of kindness but true love. It’s funny and sweet at the same time. Thanks for visiting, my dear!

  2. A wonderful post. I enjoyed reading. I agree with your sentences. I must smile by the first funny cartoon. It’s true 🤩

  3. MOL..I saw there was a message in the third kindness for my Granny…MOL…You are a very kind purrson too, CK and your drawing is amazing. Really like it😸Great song too. Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend🐾😽💞

  4. 😊😊😊”axe of kindness”
    Enjoy your post. Happy Thursday.

    Much love…

    1. Nicole,

Thanks! I love the old couple meme, too. I thought it would be cute to draw that picture but didn’t have much time to get my head around it. Perhaps, another time, eh? 😉

  5. I love your Kindness post and the pun with the Axe…very pun worthy and love the drawing. I have to say, thank you for posting this as I have been feeling lost and not very worthy plus missing my mom so. I think the loss of my job is beginning to sink in. I will rally.

    1. Ahhh, Birgit!

You’re so kind. I’m super happy this post was the picker up that you needed. Reading your words makes me even more glad that I listened to that tiny voice prodding me to put it together and I’m happy I listened. 🙂 I hope you find a way out of this low spot you’re in but you’re right it’s probably due to your job loss and missing your mother. You’re in my thoughts and prayers, darlin’ friend!

  6. Blog friends are the very best. I find so much joy in visiting folks.

I love your artwork as always and the funnies made me smile.

Kindness needs to spread all over the world and it starts with me.

Have a fabulous day, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥

    1. Sandee,

I’m with you, I find a lot of joy visiting bloggy pals, too. I agree kindness needs to spread and it starts every person who reads this. Change like that can have a huge impact on our world.

  7. Hi, Cathy!

Happy Thankful Thursday Art Date with Rain, dear friend!

I appreciate the meme expressing gratitude to your bloggy friends, a great way to start my day. Next, I appreciate your Sillies. “Love is caring for each other even when you’re angry,” is one that rings true. A couple knows they share real love when they can argue and fight and still feel the caring, and when they can act toward each other in a caring manner even as heated words are exchanged. I also love your sketch depicting a smiling “axe of kindness.” Wintertime affords us a great opportunity to commit random acts of kindness. After a snowstorm, you could be a good neighbor and offer to shovel or blow the snow from sidewalks and driveways. You could help an unstable elderly person walk to their vehicle in a parking lot covered with slippery ice and snow, carrying their packages or groceries for them. You can help push a vehicle to freedom that is stuck in the snow. You could also do as your drawing illustrates, and chop firewood for friends and neighbors, especially if they are too old and weak to do it themselves..

Thank you for posting Tim McGraw’s “(Always stay) Humble And Kind,” the ideal song and video for today. The cutaways show people of different races and colors, people all over the world, and remind us that we are all in it together. We need not think of it as “us and them,” it is all just “us,” and we can find the path to peace and harmony if we remain humble and kind and reach out sincerely in friendship.

Thanks for your getting my Thursday off to a wonderful start. You asked to be notified if I have a post running so that you can visit me. Yessum, I do have a post running this week, and your ongoing support is very much appreciated. Have a terrific and Thankful Thursday, dear friend Cathy!

    1. Tom,

The cartoon of the old couple cracked me up but it’s accurate. True love means you still care about the other person and willing to take care of him/her despite being at odds. I’m happy to know you liked the gratitude expressions. Also, thanks for telling me you liked my pun inspired illustration. It’s interesting, I did the post yesterday and last night we were playing catch up with The Voice, Blake Shelton’s country singer, Lana Scott sang this song. That was a wild coincidence, don’t you think? lol Thanks for the reminder of your current post. I dropped by earlier today and am just now getting around to my comments. 🙂
