Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays! This week’s theme is whatever music moves you! Last fall when we visited Nashville I had every intention to sharing Dolly’s then new album release but it wasn’t until recently going through my archived YT video links I was reminded. Let’s have a little fun with a country girl with a little rock n’ roll making her a whole lotta Rockstar!
Remember music themes are only suggestions. I don’t care one way or another. The important thing is to share whatever music moves you. Now, it’s your turn!
This is a busy week for my fellow Americans as we prepare for our annual Thanksgiving celebration. Some prefer to focus on the evils that came along with the discovery of our great country. That wasn’t the intent of the early explorers and settlers. Many came to the new world looking for a place to escape religious persecution and to build a better life. It’s a blessing and privilege to live in America. She isn’t perfect and yet many seek to make this their home for the very reasons our forefathers did. Please remember always that Thanksgiving is an attitude for the gratitude in one’s heart, not just one day but everyday.
Before I go, like I need to remind y’all, we’ll be kicking off the Christmas season with a full month of holiday music next time on 4M. Have a boogietastic week. 😉 And, may God bless you and yours!

Everyone loves Dolly. She’s a good egg that one.
Great music here. Love this playlist. Thanks for everything you. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
What a great video with a message of encouragement. Even in the worst of times, we are very important to somebody and we are always important to the One who created us and breathed the breath of life into our lungs. Well played today. Have a very blessed Thanksgiving
I do love Dolly and some she did here, are great. She is always positive and true. Happy Birthday Tom!! Belated but meant!
I love Dolly Parton! 🤩
Dolly will always be a rock star!!! Happy Birthday to our daughter from all of us!
I LOVE Dolly Parton. I think her second song World on Fire should have won a major award.
Wowzers! That is terrific! Especially cuz she had the original artists in there with her. Love. It. And that bonus with Blessing Offor!! Great song. Woohoo!!! Thank you, Cathy! ~Ed.
Oh, and btw, I had my 69th birthday last Thursday (11/21), so thanks for the Birthday song, too! 😁
Thanks for letting me know that you had a birthday last week, Ed. HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY TO YOU! 👏
Was that originally a Beatles song? I had no idea! I made a list of all the November birthdays in my life, the people I know pretty well at least, there are more, but the list has 14 people, including myself. This is the monthly tribute song!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, CRHISTINE! I’ll be sure to make a note to get you in next year’s celebratory nod. 🙂 I hope your day was extraordinarily wonderful!
Praise and thanksgiving never go out of style.
I am thankful for you, and for Ms. Dolly who certainly is a one of a kind rock star.
Dolly was voted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and figured she had to do a rock album. As far as I’m concerned, she hung the moon.
Dolly is a national treasure
Dolly was always willing to try new sounds. I used to watch her on the Porter Wagner show that came on one of the Knoxville TV stations on Saturday afternoons in the late sixties/early seventies. Liked her then and I like her now. She makes any style sound good.

“Look at these purty towels that comre in boxes of Bur-reeze!” I use to catch their show, too.
