Ice Fairy #art

As I worked on last week’s snow fairy, I found other images of fairies I wanted to attempt but didn’t work quite as well as the one I modeled mine after so when I realized today’s prompt jagged and ice has a similar theme I decided to illustrate for you a Procreate design of an Ice Fairy.

Thanks for stopping in with your coffee for a peek at my masterpiece and …oh yeah for not spilling it on my artwork. 😉

It’s a super pleasure to share my newest illustration with you this morning. 😘  Follow me to Rain’s Garden to browse through the gallery of artistry!

That’s for now. I’m going to close with a mewsic arrangement by Brandon Fiechter from his World of Wonders album titled Ice Fairies.  In case you missed the mews on Tuesday, tomorrow is DH’s off-Friday and I’m testing out something new by skipping my Friday Sillies edition but I will bring to you another enlightening edition of Songsational Sundays. 😉

  1. I love your Ice Fairy. That video is most soothing too. Very nice.

Have a fabulous day, my friend. Big hug. ♥

    1. Sandee,

The instrumental mewsic by Brandon Fiechter is an enjoyable discovery. I’m glad that you like it as well as my digital sketch this week. Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a good weekend, my dear!

  2. Oh wow, look at her! She’s a brilliant ice fairy, you certain got that chill to the colours down pat! Thanks for joining in Cathy, lovely piece!!! 🙂

    1. Rain,

What helps to give my illustrations that chill is using a blue canvas. Well, it’s not truly a canvas but a backdrop. I can imagine it is,though. 🙂 Thanks for sweet words of encouragement and visit, my friend.

  3. I love your Ice Fairy which really showcases her beauty and the beauty of the season. You captured her well and very artistically done. The music is sweet. I love Shady’s comment about the Ice Princess which made general Hospital ultra famous even featuring Liz Taylor as the evil Helena Cassidine. I still watch GH every day, well, tape it.

    1. Birgit,

I wish I had thought to give my Ice Fairy a name. It makes my heart smile to read how others like her and that I managed to capture the chill of the season. I think I vaguely remember Liz Taylor being on General Hospital but that’s only because I recall the promo for the show. Thanks for dropping by!

  4. I am listening to your delightful music as I write this comment. I can just picture ice fairies darting about in the beautiful sparkling snow. It is amazing how music can lift one’s spirits. I love your art and always enjoy coming over to see what wonder you have created. Will see you next week, I hope. I know you are taking a short break from your blog and I can’t tell for sure if you will return in time for the Chinese New Year. Be well Cathy …

    1. Andrea,

No, I’m no longer on a blogging break. That was last month but it was probably hard to tell with the holidays going on and all. I already have next week’s art theme sketched and scheduled to post. I find it better if I can stay ahead of the game but that’s not always the case as I do fall behind. Thank you for visiting.

    1. Robin,

When I drew my snow fairy for last week’s prompt I came across an icy snow fairy image that I liked, so from that picture I was inspired to draw mine. Thanks for joining me today. 😉

  5. Beautiful art, love your cool ice fairy, and the music fits very well to it. Here it’s still unseasonable warm and sunny, and doesn’t feel at all like winter! Have a great day, look after yourself, hugs, Valerie

  6. Hi, Cathy!

I am here to examine your torrent of artistic talent, dear friend! I love your Ice Fairy. She has dazzling eyes, plump, kissable lips and slender neck, a very feminine creature. I like how you rendered the scene in pale shades of color, making me feel winter’s chill. Just wondering, are you old enough to remember The Ice Princess story line on General Hospital in the early 80s?

I enjoyed “Ice Fairies,” the Celtic Fairy Music by Brandon Fiechter. I will miss your Friday Sillies. Mrs. S and I traveled across the state yesterday and we need to turn around and do it again this weekend. My three week blog hiatus begins soon.

Have a safe and happy weekend, dear friend Cathy!

    1. Tom,

I was never a follower of the daytime soap series, General Hospital. In the early 80s, I was in college, so my days were spent in class and on the days off my nose was in my studies. I always liked the soaps on NBC but about a decade ago I gave up daytime TV watching for the most part. The only time I was TV during the day now is through streaming content while using my elliptical.

I appreciate you making time to visit this morning. I know you and Mrs. S are growing tired of this back and forth stuff but it’ll all come to an end soon. I shall miss you during your brief blog break but you have to do what’s best for you. Everyone, including myself understands this is a necessity we all have to do at one point. Have a good weekend and be safe, my friend!
