I Will Fear No More #TheAfters

originally shared this image in July 2014

Good morning, how are you today?  Fear is a product of our environment. If we don’t allow it to control us then it can’t. That’s easier said than done and this is where I’ve learned to lean on Jesus when the walls close in around me. Are you struggling with anxiety? I encourage you to leave your worries at the feet of the Master.

Today’s feature song, ‘I Will Fear No More’ by a new-to-me group inspired this morning’s scripture I placed on one of my photos taken in the Great Smoky Mountains at sunset. The fingers of God pushing through the darkness serves to remind me that He is on my side and I have no reason to be afraid any more.  You’re invited to follow along with the lyrics while enjoying the mewsic of The Afters!

I WILL FEAR NO MORE
~The Afters

Every anxious thought that steals my breath
It’s a heavy weight upon my chest
As I lie awake and wonder what the future will hold
Help me to remember that You’re in control
You’re my courage when I worry in the dead of night
You’re my strength ’cause I’m not strong enough to win this fight
You are greater than the battle raging in my mind
I will trust You, Lord
I will fear no more
I will lift my eyes
I will lift my cares
Lay them in Your hands
I’ll leave them there
When the wind and waves are coming
You shelter me
Even though I’m in the storm, the storm is not in me
You’re my courage when I worry in the dead of night
You’re my strength ’cause I’m not strong enough to win this fight
You are greater than the battle raging in my mind
I will trust You, Lord
I will fear no more
(Oh-oh-oh-ohh, oh-oh-oh-ohh) I will fear no more
(Oh-oh-oh-ohh, oh-oh-oh-ohh) I will fear no more
No power can come against me
‘Cause You have overcome
No darkness can overwhelm me
‘Cause You’ve already won
No power can come against me
‘Cause You have overcome
(Oh-oh-oh-ohh, oh-oh-oh-ohh)
No darkness can overwhelm me
‘Cause You’ve already won
(Oh-oh-oh-ohh, oh-oh-oh-ohh)
You’re my courage when I worry in the dead of night
You’re my strength ’cause I’m not strong enough to win this fight
You are greater than the battle raging in my mind
I will trust You, Lord (Trust You, Lord)
I will fear no more (Fear no more)
I will fear no more (Fear no more)
(Oh-oh-oh-ohh, oh-oh-oh-ohh) I will fear no more
(Oh-oh-oh-ohh, oh-oh-oh-ohh) I will fear no more
(Oh-oh-oh-ohh, oh-oh-oh-ohh) I will fear no more

I’m currently not in charge of the 4M linky party. I need a break from everything more or less and decided it was time to turn it back over to Marie especially while I’m on an extensive blog hiatus. I’ll see you tomorrow on the Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me dance floor with ‘your choice song picks‘. Have a blessed Sunday afternoon! x💋x💋, Cathy

    1. Athena & Marie,

I feel cooped up more than anxious but I’d rather stay home while things simmer down medically and socially. We’re living in odd times and while every thing is out of my control, I know who’s in control of everything. Be at peace, my friend. Sending love and prayers your way!

  1. It is hard no to feel fear during this crisis, but we must have faith in God. XO

  2. Our nation has become caught up in fear. For many, fear has replaced faith while for others fear is their faith.

    1. Lee,

I agree, our nation has fallen to fear. There’s no reason to be afraid if you exercise good common sense but we know that common sense has nearly died out in our world and instead replace by emotions. I will live my life and not worry about these things because they are temporary. This will pass.

  3. Hi Cathy 🙂 You’re so right about fear…that it can’t control us if we don’t let it, but that is a very difficult thing to do indeed! 🙂 I hope you’re having a nice summer so far!!

    1. Rain,

You’re right, it is easier said than done sometimes but when I find fear slipping in I remind myself who’s who control of my life. I am using the common sense God gave me while trusting Him as I do what’s reasonable to keep myself healthy and safe. There’s nothing more for me to do but to chill. 😉

  4. Beautiful. I don’t think I’ve heard this song before. Beautiful.

Enjoy your time off. I get it. Sometimes you just need to step back.

Have a fabulous day and week, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥

    1. Sandee,

I’m glad you enjoyed the song. Yeah,it’s goo to step away from blogging. This will give me a chance to get energized and ready when I return. Thanks for dropping by today, my dear!
