High Hopes

It’s day five of 2025.  If you’re like me then you might have the sense of High Hopes for the new year. I love that feeling of beginning a fresh again, don’t you?

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  After a month of holiday tunes some of you may be happy the calendar flipped over. I never tire of Christmas music but there’s a season for all good things. This week there’s no theme, so it’s whatever music moves you.

Now, it’s your turn!

This is a music link up.  Your post must contain at least one song or your URL is marked “No Music”.
One of the things we did the week before Christmas while DH was off from work is we visited The Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge. Isn’t this an incredible display?

I stopped making resolutions long ago but this year, I resolve to be a better planner and manager of things.  I’m off to a shaky start in Blogosphere with few scheduled posts sitting in cue, but in my defense I had a hectic fall. What do you mean, that’s not a good excuse? Drats! Okay, I’ll come up with a better one next time.  Meanwhile, it’s a new year with a bright future in front of us. Let’s make the most of everyday, starting now.

Join me on Wednesday for the results of last week’s Here Comes the Sun BOTB.  Have a boogietastic week!

  1. We need high hopes with all the crappola and mayhem happening. That song is nice from Frank and I enjoyed the last one very much. Trudeau has stepped down! I pray Pollieve doesn’t get in.

  2. I love the photo of the kitchen; absolutely priceless! You don’t need to apologize about blogging because we are all in this together and life comes first.

  3. We were listening to the Madface while reading, CK. That’s great mewsic! That kitchen pic overwelmed us…to much of effurrything, but it has a nice tree to climb in😸😸We won’t do excuses anymore, it’s just the way it is, that’s our motto, at least for now 😉 Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day🐾😽💞

  4. I always have High Hopes for a good year! 🙂 That song is so uplifting and positive. It’s from the 1959 movie “A Hole In The Head” and it won the Oscar for Best Song. 🎼 You shouldn’t feel you have to make excuses about blogging! I’m sure your loyal readers will be happy with whatever you share whenever you post it. That’s how I feel about it, anyway. My blogging has been fairly sporadic too, but that’s life. Happy New Year, dear Cathy! 🎉

  5. I haven’t heard that song in forever. In fact I had forgotten that Frank Sinatra had sung it. I loved this song as a child (yes, I’m that old) maybe because of the children’s chorus. Or maybe it was because my Mom loved Frank Sinatra. Alana ramblinwitham

  7. I have High Hopes for this year too. Beautiful video.

I’ll accept any excuse you come up with. Works for me.
