Heavenly Birthday Wishes 1966-2006

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  The theme this week is whatever music moves you.  Today would’ve been my baby brother’s 57th birthday. I built a playlist in no particular order songs that hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart the year he was born, 1966, and finished with one of my most memorable songs from the Hot 100 chart the year he passed, 2006.

The years have flown by since my brother’s death but I think about him frequently and often times memories pop up from nowhere leaving a smile in my heart.

Happy heavenly birthday,  dear brother! I miss you!! 😘

It’s your turn, what music moves you today?

This is a music link up.  Your post must contain at least one song or your URL is marked “No Music”.

The 4M co-hostess are featured in my right side bar underneath the banner. The guidelines are simple.  Every other week, a suggested (not mandatory) theme is given to build your song picks. YouTube and other music sites have options to create and embed playlists or individual songs into your post. On the off weeks, we dance to whatever music moves you (your choice)! To access the party, add your music post below, and visit others on the dance floor. Let the party begin!

April is a busy month with the A to Z Challenge for some of you. I am not participating in the annual event.  If you’re taking part in the blog fest, give yourself a pass to share whatever music moves you all month. Have a boogietastic week!

  1. Soft Pawkisses for a Happy Birthday in heaven to your brother, CK. We know he’s smiling about the great songs you picked, just like we do…see…😺😸🐾😽💞

    1. Yes definitely, he’s smiling. He had such a big, kind heart but he was a bit mischievous. It makes me laugh sometimes thinking about the things he got into as a kid. lol

  2. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your brother. Such loss doesn’t hurt less as the years go by, it just gets easier to bear.

You’ve paid him a beautiful tribute.

Thank you for the Awww Monday video.

    1. Time certainly doesn’t erase all the pain but it has gotten easier without him. I love how I’m reminded of him through memories or music. It warms my heart. 🙂 Thank your kind words, Mimi!

  3. Such a nice way to remember your brother. Hugs from all of us.

  4. A great way to celebrate your brother and, I bet, each song makes you think of something he did or said. Thank you for sharing this dayvwith us with great tunes

    1. Yes, these songs do make me think of JC. He’s gone but his presence lives on inside and his soul is resting easy with the Lord. Thanks for caring, Birgit!

  5. It’s a beautiful tribute. A lot of favorite songs here to honor your brother’s memory. May your memories of him continue to bring a smile to your heart. Alana ramblinwitham

    1. A wonderful tribute to your brother and a great playlist. You moved me so much that I wrote a tribute to second eldest sister. I hope you don’t mind Cathy 💜💜💜

    1. I still can’t believe that it’s been 18 years since he left us. I know he’s a better place with our daddy and so many other loved ones. Thanks so much, Robin!
