Hands Of Time Songsuasion/Sillies & s-ART-urday

Good morning, kittens & dawgs! I stumbled upon this morning’s artist when I went in search of songs with a particular theme. I knew after hearing a few bars it was worthy of my time to keep listening.

Groove Armada (new-to-me) sounds like a cool name, but Groove isn’t just a person. Groove Armada is a two-person electronic band formed by Andy Cato and Tom Findlay from London, England. This music style in itself isn’t something I listen to normally but set with the right voice and lyrics then it holds promise like with Richie Havens’ Hands of Time.

Normally, I stick with a single artist, but this morning I’m going with a song message on #HandsOfTime Saturday Songsuasions/Sillies & s-ART-urday!

Rachel Diggs is another new find. I think she’s an uncharted singer and has recorded two albums. I don’t know anything about the rest of her music, but she has a song bearing the name of my theme and after hearing it I wanted to share it.

Hey Rach, you might want to expand your reach with Facebook and Twitter. Just a saying.

Next up is my last artist discovery who has a matching song title. It has a kind of techno electric sound to it, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself getting to you feet with this one. I present to you  Hellberg & Rich Edwards (ft. Jonny Rose)!

I did a little digging. Hellberg (Stockhom) & Rose (USA) are musicians, and Edwards (Sweden) is a producer. Hellberg is making a place for himself in the industry. He brags (and rightfully so) of 1M music downloads (I’m not sure, if it’s with this song or not). That sounds awesome to me. The cool thing is social media and the internet unlocked the hidden talent like these I featured today from around the world for our discovery. Thanks to technology, reaching one’s dreams is a little easier now.

Tell me, which Hands of Time song did you like the best?

Okay, I haven’t forgotten. It’s time for your weekly dose of humor. There’s nothing like a good belly laugh or at least a big smile to make you feel better.

Snoopy ~ humour in difficult situation
Borrowed image from the net. Used Pixelmator to added background and sunbeam effect around phrase.

Today’s artwork is a mash-up of two of my original photos (using Pixelmator) ~ the moon (used in two previous creations) and mountains. I borrowed the image of the clock face, here, and the quote is from the Medium TV series season 5 episode 10. Join Claudia for another edition of #s-ART-urday!

Project #5:

That’s a wrap for this week. I hope you enjoyed your visit and I appreciate you including me in your weekend. Feel free to invite your friends to stop in for a listen. It’s a great feeling to share!

What’s next? How about a little Monday Mewzik & Mewzings?!
