Gregory Porter on 4M

Posted on January 20, 2014

Welcome to week 176 of

Good morning my lovelies in Blogosphere! It’s the start of a brand new week and it’s time to shake those Monday blues through music. Put on your dancing shoes coz it’s time to party freebie style!

Whatever tunes are getting your groove on, then we want to hear them right here on Monday’s Music Moves Me!

Our lovely hostesses, XmasDolly, would like to thank you for joining the party and as always JAmericanSpice, Stacy Uncorked, Just the stuff ya know & myself are happy that you came.

Now, it’s time to get our groove on with you so remember to link up and shake your bootie with the fellow rockin’ blogger buds below!

Remember, to be considered for honorary co-host each month, then be sure to add your URL to the link up.

Two weeks ago, Belle from Coffee Bar Confessions introduced Gregory Porter – a soulful, jazz singer to me with these two songs.

Having liked the sound of this artist, I decided to find a few more new-to-me favorites. This is what I discovered.

Did you have a good time on the dance floor? I did.   Next stop… your place!  What music moves you?

Be sure to come back next week to dance with the 4M crew, and if you can’t get enough music, then join me for Saturday Song-suasion!

Yes! I’ve been trying to think of this guy for weeks!! I think someone else played him on the 4M once and I could not remember who. or where I heard it. But the more I hear him – the more I LOVE!! Nice and smooth, lovely piano.
So thankful I got an itunes gift card just waiting to be used!

I love these sounds in music. What a great selection!

Now I’m reminded of an island singer Isaac Hayes I think.

    Have a blessed week Cathy!

Mm…nothing like the sounds of good jazz music. I think I’ll drive the kids nuts with it later today.

I’m not familiar with this artist, but he has a wonderfully smooth style.

Oh yes, I remember him by Haupi’s place last week. Oh yeah, I’m luvin’ me some jazz lately too and the stories they tell. Couldn’t watch the third one. Something about a third party. Great choices my friend. Thanks for sharing. Don’t forget when you hot to follow our followers – THANKS!

4M Guidelines: Below are the 4M co-hostess. The rules are simple. Every other week, a suggested (not mandatory) theme is given to build your song picks. We're looking for embedded music to enjoy, one song or several. On the off weeks, we dance to whatever music moves you (your choice)! It's just that easy. Have fun and welcome to the party!
