A week zipping by lightning fast is one thing, but where did May go? Good grief, the days literally disappear on me! Is it that way with you? I hope today’s memes make you giggle a lot in this edition of Friday Sillies!
I’m gonna wind things down with Friendly Fill-ins hosted by my good friends, Ellen and Lorraine.
1. I would love to be a personal assistant to Donald Trump when he did Celebrity Apprentice. It was such a fun show to watch.
You’re fired! ~Donald Trump
3. I want to improve my art sketching abilities. The only way to do this is to keep practicing and challenging myself.
4. Surprises are good if they are happy surprises. For instance, like the happy surprise, I have for you below! I’m sorry I’m so late to visit again. Thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I think your sketching skills are fantastic! I love drawing, and I accepted a long time ago that I’ll never be an expert at it, because there are always more subjects, techniques, and styles to learn. Happy blogoversary!
Lorraine,
Your skill set is purrfect! Your clean artwork is something I admire. Mine is a bit crude at times. I’m like you, I’ve accepted that I’m not an expert and never will be but that’s ok. I’m happy with doodling away anyhow. It gives me lots of joy and that’s what it’s all about anyhow, right? Don’t worry about the late visit. There’s no such thing. My blog door is open 24/7. 😉
Pawkisses for a Happy Blogoversary, CK, what a wonderful achievement!🎉 Thanks for the giggles, I always float on…nip in my case😸We didn’t know that you were writing, that’s pawsome….you have so many skills. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to read your book. We love that! Now, let’s rock that boat and Staying afloat and here come 9 Extra Pawkisses for the occassion🐾😽💞
Binky,
I used to dabble in writing eons ago but blogging sorta took over. lol After my not-so-successful attempt with marketing my first and only children’s book I became content to enjoy my space in Blogosphere. I still yearn a little to get back into it but I don’t have that drive like I once did. I’m always open to doing it again, I just want to feel the motivation beneath my feet. Thanks for visiting, my dear!
Hope you have many more years of blogging to come! Your posts are such fun.
Thank you, Mimi! Maybe, we’ll get to share the next 9+ years together. 🙂

Mike,
Thanks for the happy blogversary song. I can’t believe I’m celebrating 9-years of blogging already. I didn’t know what I was getting into at the beginning and now I can’t imagine doing anything else. 🙂
HAHA…I love all the funnies. But I am not a sap, I looked up my family tree and found nothing but NUTS!
Pamela,
I could say the same thing about finding nothing but nuts, too. lol Great comeback!
I love your book! I will spread the word about it on my blog. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I would be afraid Trump would fire me as I have no business skills 🙂 I like the boat name. And your drawing is wonderful, but I agree that practice is the only way to improve. Happy Blogoversary!!! Have a wonderful weekend! XO
Ellen,
Thanks for putting the word out to your readers. I will say this the pictures in my Kindle version aren’t big like in my book and that’s my fault being not familiar with how the process worked. It turned okay and since it’s a freebie I hope no one minds the smaller images. I just wanted a way to share my book with others. I hope to update the Kindle version sometime after June 5th, as that’s when I’ll probably pull this version off temporarily so no one can buy it until I fix the formatting. Once that’s done, maybe I can run another freebie promo. 😀
Happy Blogversarry! I agree that May disappeared way too fast. Where do the days disappear off to?
Kate,
Boy did it ever! I have no clear where the days go, either. Phew!

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Love and hugs. ♥
Sandee,
Thanks for the warm wishes and visit, my friend. Hopefully, we’ll share many more years together in Blogosphere!
Those were all good! Nothing better than a good giggle to start the weekend!
Brian,
Laughs anytime are good for the soul! 🙂
I never watched Trump’s show but I am inspired of late to do so. I can’t believe how popular it was!
Jacqui,
After Trump became president, Arnold Schwarzenegger took over the show for one season. He did a good job but NBC canceled the program in 2017. What a bummer, too! If you can find the previous seasons then you do watch it. It’s quite entertaining. The Apprentice was also good but I liked Celebrity Apprentice a little better.
Hi Cathy 🙂 HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY!!! 🙂 I love the funnies, especially Rodney Dangerfield, big fan here. I have his biography and we often watch his standup over and over on You Tube, he never gets boring to us!! I think your Stayin’ Afloat is funny! 🙂 Oh and Fat Boy Slim, I love that video! Thanks for sharing it! I love your Grimsby too! 🙂
Rain,
Rodney is a favorite with us, too. He’s one of the few comedians who didn’t rely on swearing to sell his punch lines. Thanks for stopping in! 😉
Hi, Cathy!
Happy Friday, dear friend! I am sipping my morning coffee and being careful not to spill it on your Friday Sillies Fun Stuff, Fill-Ins and In Living Color artwork. I enjoyed the kitty and dog memes and the Rodney Dangerfield punchline. Rodney was one of my favorites, and I have a post devoted to him coming up at Shady’s Place in the not too distant future.
Turning to your Friendly Fill-ins segment, we already know you are a gifted artist. Maybe you should develop your talents as a writer (and performer) of parody songs like “Stayin’ Afloat.” 🙂 Are you saying you don’t like to get on boats on the open water? I have my own misgivings about that ever since losing a high school classmate in a boating mishap in the 60s.
Thanks for bringing back the character Grimsby in living color. I love the vivid purple color of his neckerchief and the exciting lines and angles of the composition (Grimsby’s body and the railing), touches an experienced artist knows how to use to make art more realistic and pleasing to the eye.
I’m glad I was still here to congratulate you on 9 full years of blogging, Cathy. On top of that I congratulate you on writing a children’s book, The Tale of Ole Green Eyes. The cover art and teaser text have me eager to read your story when I return from my trip. You are a person of many talents, dearie! So, this is goodbye. My three week blog break begins now. I hope to be back to blogging on Father’s Day, June 16. In the meantime please take good care of yourself, dear friend Cathy!
Tom,
I appreciate you finding time to squeeze in one more last visit before your three-week blog break. I hope you and Mrs. Shady have tons of fun. Your kind words of encouragement do my heart good. Song parodies would be a fun pursuit but I don’t know if I have the measure of humor to write a good one. Thanks for the congrats on my little book, as an Indie author I don’t know if the words of praise are worthy to fall on my ears but I am glad that I self-published it nonetheless. Have a glorious trip and I shall look forward to your return, as well as sharing many more years in Blogosphere with you, my friend!
