Friday Sillies 2018 #Christmas Edition 2

Purrs and hisses, Kittens & Dawgs! This is a short work week for DH but oh, man, was it ever a hard one! *hold head in hands* Let me explain, yesterday, I picked up our Camry from the shop to only destroy the driver’s door and nearly broke my leg in the process.  To say I was stressed, not to mention poor DH, is an understatement.  He was incredible and might I say a pretty darn forgiving fella.  Honestly, I don’t know how he kept his cool but he did and I still have my head to prove it. 😆 I have an enormously bruised lower left leg (no fractures had it checked out at an urgent care center) but please don’t even ask how this happened because my brain still can’t process the details.  We’ll have the old gal towed to a body shop today and be without her for two or three weeks.  How does anyone do so much damage in their driveway?  Put away your magnifying glass, you’ll not find any blonde roots but perhaps the tinsel I’m growing qualifies as a good reason for my series of misfortunes.  Anyhow, all I want to do is laugh and laugh hard and oh yeah bury my face in half-gallon of ice cream.   Enjoy the Friday Sillies!

I’m rounding things out with Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by the lovely, Ellen and Lorraine.

1. I really need to not eat a lot of junk food because it makes it ten times harder to shed the excess after the holidays.
2. My favorite Christmas ( or Hanukkah) decoration is probably my Fontanini nativity scene.
3. It’s beginning to look a lot like another birthday has snuck up on me.
4. This time of year, I eat my fair share of chocolate! What did you think I’d say, “Broccoli”?🤣🤣🤣

That’s a wrap for now but I hope to see you on the dance floor for ‘ALL THINGS CHRISTMASon Mondays Mewsic Moves Me! X💋X💋, Cathy

  1. Oof! You have my sympathy, i’ve had those days and weeks, and we are without one vehicle right now, too. Hope your leg heals up quickly and did you know Halo Top makes a very good dairy-free low cal version?

  2. I am sorry about your leg and the car, but that you weren’t more seriously hurt is the most important thing. Cars are easier to fix than people.

    1. I’m very thankful I wasn’t hurt any worse. Today, I got confirmation from the radiologist nothing is broken. The swelling is going down and while the bruising is turning deeper colors, it’s not nearly as bad as I thought it might be. Hopefully, it won’t look too ugly. 🙂 We had the car towed to a body shop today. The cost to repair the damage is more than we thought. It’s nearly at the totaled status. smack forehead I’m so upset with myself but DH is super good. What a blessing!

  3. Sorry about your accident. I’m glad nothing was broken. That would have been most terrible.

Love all your Friendly Fill-in answers.

    Loved that video. Funny.

I linked you to Feline Friday. Thanks for always remembering to put in the kitties.

Have a fabulous day and weekend and I hope you don’t hurt for very long. Love you. ♥

  4. Hi, Cathy!

Golly, I am sorry you had an accident and bungled up your leg along with the car door. I know you must be in pain, dear friend, and that makes me blue. It’s a blessing you have an understanding and forgiving spouse in DH. I wish you (and your car) a speedy recovery. Mrs. Shady typically does 80 mph or more backing out of our driveway and it is a wonder she didn’t have an accident so far. A couple of weeks ago she started backing out on the road as a car came speeding past – a very close call!

I enjoyed your Friday Sillies and your Fill-ins, but I cannot listen to your Christmas mewsic. Last night my computer monitor died. Right now I am using Mrs. Shady’s laptop which has the sound all screwed up. We are leaving soon to go shopping for a new monitor and I hope to be back up and running on my own system by the end of the day. I will stop back and listen to Bob Rivers’ song when time permits and be here for your BOTB tomorrow if you choose to present one.

If your birthday is coming up soon I wish you a very happy one, dear friend Cathy. Please take good care of yourself, get well, and have a safe and happy weekend!

    1. Tom,

Thanks for the good wishes. My leg is sore but thankfully the swelling is going down. I’m supposed to ice and keep it elevated for 4-5 days. That’s a tall order to fulfill with Christmas just around the corner. Oh, bummer! Sorry to hear about your monitor killing over! But, if that’s all then it’s an easy fix. 🙂 Actually, my birthday is today. I’m 57 years young. Have a grand weekend, my friend!
