It’s beginning to bloom here but it’s not quite time for the Magnolia blooms or Mountain Laurel just yet. I’m not sure if there’s any of the later in our immediate area. Today, I’m sharing two photos I recreated using Brushstrokes during the government shutdown.
There’s a large Magnolia tree on the west side of town. I used my Big Girl camera to capture the original shot with my new macro lens in 2014.
I snapped the original along the Blue Ridge Parkway somewhere between Price Lake and Little Switzerland a month after I got my Big Girl camera in 2012. The parkway is lined with Mountain Laurel in places but this picture was taken at one of the picnic areas that is thickly populated with these beautiful blooms.
Thanks for the visit. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Your Mountain Laurel was my favorite of the two. I can’t wait until the trees start to bloom (we only have crocuses and snowdrops locally right now). Alana ramblinwitham
I image with April almost here, then things will start to bloom for you all before too long. I love seeing the earth breathe with new life this time of year. It makes me so happy!
That turned out very nicely, CK. All the magnolias are in bloom in our Country and they smell delicious too
Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day

Beautiful. XO
