Welcome to my first edition of Five for Friday! I’m not sure who’s the author of this weekly meme but my good friend, John from The Sound of One Hand Typing puts one of these together each week. There doesn’t seem to be any themes to this so I can go with whatever moves me and if I’m wrong please correct me.
Let’s groove to the sound of Earth, Wind, & Fire as we move into the weekend!
Five4Friday playlist tracks: 1. September 2. Boogie Wonderland 3. Shining Star 4. Let’s Groove 5. After the Love Is Gone
I hope you enjoyed my first Five for Friday playlist. I plan to participate in this meme every other week on DH’s Friday off which keeps me on track with my blogging routine whereas in the past I’ve opted to not post. You can comment or simply click ‘like’ and I’ll see that you stopped by.
Although, I’m MIA in Blogosphere, you’ll find tomorrow with my comeback series, Saturday Songsuasion! I hope you’ll stop in for some weekend music. Have a great funtastic Friday, dear friends. X💋X💋, Cathy

Hi, Cathy!
Happy Five4Friday, dear friend! I started looking for this feature dark and early at 6 am. I thought you forgot to schedule it for pubbing.
I enjoyed this block of EW&F songs including a few of their official mewsic videos. These hit songs take me through my second bachelorhood and clubbing years. I remember hitting the floor and dancing to “Boogie Wonderland.” For some unexplained reason, “Let’s Groove” instantly reminds me of a specific moment around Christmas, 1981, when I was seated at a bar in a tavern in Lancaster, PA. “Let’s Groove (Tonight)” started playing on the jukebox, and I remember it instantly putting me in a great mood. That’s all there is to the memory. There is no good reason on earth why that particular moment got burned indelibly into my memory and remains intact 40 years later!
I see that you added a Friday Funny (or Silly) at the end. Actually, that little doggie in the meme is incorrect. Tomorrow is indeed Saturday, but if my friend Cathy has a 6 am Saturday Songsuasion post scheduled, I’ll be awake early and pumping black coffee waiting for it. Hey, we can sleep when we’re dead, right? 🙂
Have a happy Friday and I’ll see you tamale, dear friend Cathy!
