FFO #3

Today’s portrait sketch I found inspiration from one of Nicole’s AI watercolor creations from two weeks ago.   Mine looks nothing like hers. One because I can’t accurately reproduce a person’s likeness or factious creations and two I didn’t do splashes of color on the face.

What I loved about Nicole’s image is how I easily envisioned drawing the lines of her slightly turned face.  I thought, yeah I can do that! While she isn’t an exact, I do like the way she turned out. My biggest trouble I had was with the eyelashes and her eyes aren’t perfect. I can’t let this bug me too much.  I just have to keep practicing!

I changed the eyelashes and eyes in this revision. I’m not sure it made things better but it’s a learning experience.

Up next you’ll find me on the dance floor with Mondays Music Moves Me and I hope you’ll come boogie with me. Until then,  have a funtastic weekend! xo

  1. You have such talent. I enjoy stopping by. I have been away from my blogs. Enjoy the week and thank you.

  2. Hi, Cathy! Your lady is beautiful, but I definitely like the fewer eyelashes better. Your lovely face reminds me of how much I want to be able to see my face clearly again. It’s been almost three years. I hope I’m still okay for my eye surgery, but my thyroid has gone out of the normal range in the last two months which outs my eye operation at risk. I’ll know April 3rs. 🤞 I would so very much like to be able to put on mascara again! I’m so vain ~ NOT! Have a great week!

    1. There’s nothing wrong with desiring to look ones best. I don’t like going out in public without my face put on. It makes me feel better and no doubt look better, too. lol I hope you’re able to have your eye surgery soon. I’ll say a prayer for you, dear friend! xo

  3. You didca great job on both but I like thenless eyelashes as it brings out her eyes more, softer. Love this song. It’s very whispy and dream like

  4. Oh she is beautiful. I love the way you did her hair and her eyebrows. LOL The details, like the pearl earring. Oh I like the lighter eyelashes. What I love most about art is the inspiration we get from one another. BTW I think her eyes are just fine. I see a woman in a roll she doesn’t want to play. All dressed up, hair perfect, looking off past the party wishing she was off listening to good music and dancing crazy, barefoot across the grass. I really like this girl. Thank you for joining FFO and have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Nicole,

I’m happy you liked my version of your AI creation. She looks nothing like yours but she was fun to sketch and to learn as I went. 🙂
