Howdy-hi, folks! The end of another work week is here. This afternoon, I have an eye exam. I will need to get new glasses. My vision did a flip flip a few years back going from near-sighted to far-sighted which seems weird but given I use my eyes for computer time then it’s really no surprise. Let’s get our happy faces on with this installment of Friday Funnies!

The appointment went well. The doctor did mention that my cataracts have changed and although they are small the increase caused him some concern so he wants me to go back in 6-months for a visual field exam. Hopefully, I won’t need to have anything done for at least a couple of years.

Very funny. I too had to get glasses after not having to wear them for over a year. Because of shortages and lack of staff it will be 3 weeks or longer before I get them. Oh well at least they are ordered. Have a great weekend.

Inventory and businesses continue to be shortened thanks to Covid. However, things are coming around. I got my glasses ordered yesterday afternoon only because the day before we stopped by the place we’ve used for the past few years for getting our eyeglasses. It helped that I wanted the exact same thing as what I’m currently wearing so that made the job super easy, then after had my eyes examined we sent over my prescription. It usually takes a week or two for me to get my new glasses. That’s not too bad. This has been a super busy week and I’m glad it’s behind me.

I don’t use a spoon in my coffee but when I make hot tea in the winters I have bumped my face with the spoon. lol That really could be dangerous, though. Let’s be sure to remove any silverware from our mugs before taking a sip. This reminds me there was a rash of injuries relating to medal straws awhile back. I knew that would be a big problem. I say go back to disposable plastics straws. Yeah, I know that’s not gonna happen but I wanted to voice my two cents.

Happy Friday Fun Stuff, dear friend! I looked for your Sillies at 6 am and figured you forgot to schedule the post as sometimes happens. I am pleased to join your for some smiles and giggles to launch the weekend.
Your first meme, the one about the bone doctor and the eye doctor, is one of those jokes that makes people groan.
“Pain in the Eye” is a good one I have seen before, but always brings a smile.
The Polish name with a gazillion consonants is another funny one. Remember the Looney Tunes episode in which Bugs Bunny goes for an eye exam? The doctor instructs Bugs to read the eye chart aloud. Printed on the chart are the words: “I can’t see a thing.” Bugs reads it aloud. The doctor keeps enlarging the text and Bugs keeps reading that same line over and over again. It’s hilarious and obviously memorable, at least for me.
“Doctor My Eyes” is a memorable song to fit today’s theme. I remember the song well.

I’m sorry for the delay in publishing. I forgot to complete my FFS post yesterday which came to mind when I went to bed last night and so I had to do that first thing. This has been a busy week for us. Anywho, I’m glad you didn’t give up and found both posts. Oh yes, I did an update to this post with the announcement that I will have another edition of Saturday Songsuasion. Hopefully, you’ll get a chance to enjoy the tunes tomorrow. You mentioned the Looney Tunes short with Bugs Bunny reading the eye chart and honestly, I’m not sure that I do but I do remember this one.
