Sweet as sugar, right? Okay, maybe it’s not that I’m sweet, but I’m feeling kind of sweet because someone did something very sweet for me. Don’t you just love that warm, fuzzy sense that fills you? I love-love-love it!
This is what happened to me, I got that all warm, fuzzy sensation tickling my whole insides. Someone special did something very sweet for me. Look what Marie from XmasDolly gave me…
First off, the award looks scrupulously sweet. Mmmm, strawberries! Second, I feel so honored. Me, irresistibly sweet? No, wait… not me, but my blog is irresistibly sweet, right? Aah, me equals sweet….blog equals sweet…oh well, regardless if it’s me or my blog that’s sweet, I’m privileged to receive this award.
As with anything, there is responsibility. By accepting this virtual world award, I need to follow these little guidelines. Not to worry, these rules are very easy. I was asked to throw out 7 random facts about myself in this blog post, and then (here is where it gets a bit tricky and I consider it to be the hardest part) pass this award on to 10 deserving bloggers. Don’t let your blog awardees stumble upon being named for this honor. Make a point in letting them know they have been given it. Trust me, this will make their day a bit brighter and happier like it has yours hopefully. I know it put a little extra sunshine and giggles in my day.
Let the fun begin! Here are the facts Jack (about me)…
- I love pretty fingernails but I have extremely fragile ones. Growing them out is tricky.
- I’ve been drinking coffee regularly since 1983, most of the time I take it straight up black.
- My blood type is AB+. I’m the third in blood type rarity, but the good news is I’m the universal recipient. I guess I’m in the clear if I need to cash in on a blood bank someday, huh? Let’s hope that never happens.
- I hate syringes, if one gets in proximity, then my thoughts immediately are, “It’s time to go to my quiet happy place.” and without fail every time I look away.
- I wore braces two years after I graduated college. My teeth were crook it, but thankfully I wasn’t. lol. But, the real problem is I had TMJ and suffered from bad headaches.
- I’m addicted to Spider Solitaire so much I have an app on my smartphone and play periodically throughout the day. Hey, it exercises for my brain. Don’t laugh, I have one you know.
- I want to take an art class to learn how to draw or to paint with watercolors someday. No one draws stick people better than my darling husband. I would like to at least outdo him someday, but that may have to be a forever fantasy. How can I compete with such great talent?
Like I mentioned, selecting deserving bloggers is always the most difficult part. In making my picks, I visit many blogs and then I simply listen to my heart’s direction (God talking to me). Let me say, I follow so many wonderful blogs and there are more out there I don’t if by chance you’re visiting and wonder, “Where’s my award, Cathy?” Just consider yourselves an honorable mention of this award because I truly believe in my heart each of my loyal blogging buds deserves their own Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award.
Now….let’s give a great big round of applauds to the following…
Kindly visit my Irresistibly Sweet Blogging friends and leave a sweet comment. You know, this small gesture will surely make them all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Wouldn’t it be nice to spread a little love?
Finally, allow me to say, “Mucho gracias Marie, my sweet friend!” If I were there with you now, then I’d like to give you…
Happy Blogging to each of you and share some love with your blogging pals!

Thank you for the sweet award! I too, cannot look a syringe straight on, and I worked in health care for years. I was the one that always fainted when we got our shots at school. I don’t know if they do that anymore. Happy blogging!
Oooh, thank you for this 🙂 Random?? Now, that’s probably what I do best!

Awww, such a nice award and how nice to hear of your joy at receiving it. Simple pleasures, life’s treasures …
Thank you for visiting my blog, I enjoy reading your comments and was nodding in the affirmative about enjoying the amenities surrounding the area where you live. My sister has a home in Knoxville, and I cannot imagine not getting out to enjoy heaven on earth!
@google-42c6755633a351dd77551233eefab226:disqus You poor dear…I was tested for allergies in the early 80s, you know all those tiny needle pricks. Luckily shots weren’t needed. It’s funny, I had no problem with delivery my babies, but bring a syringe close to me when I’m not about to give birth and I feel faintish. Okay, I’ve never fainted before, thankfully, but still I get creepied out that much. It’s mind set, I know. And, thanks – you’re a sweetie, too. =D
i knew you were sweet 🙂 I had to get weekly allergy shots starting when I was four. I got so used to it that syringes never troubled me
