Day5: S.a.D O Holy Night

Christmas greetings!  For the month of December, I plan to share a Christmas song each day with the hope of adding a little extra cheer to your holiday.  Part of my challenge in this series is to bring to you a new-to-me song or artist discoveries.  There’s no telling what song pick I’ll go with but you’ll find artists from all genres celebrating in song this almost magical, holy season.

I’m taking the traditional path with my song pick but my new-to-me artists I stumbled on accidentally earlier this year when looking for more songs by a group who won in my April BOTB that happened to have a similar name.  Today I’m sharing a more tradition song choice Celtic Brothers formerly known as Willoughby Brothers.  The trio harmonize beautifully in their rendition of O Holy Night that you’re sure as a warmth of comfort.

This song is from their 2015 Christmas album (YT playlist) if you’d like to hear more of their warm holiday cheer through song.

Don’t even worry with leaving a comment. This is for your enjoyment.  There’s no worries or fuss or strings attached. Simply a moment for you to unwind and refresh your mind or body. 😉

Just a gentle reminder, please don’t let the holiday hustle weigh you down.  The holiday festivities are beautiful and fun but the true reason warms the heart better than these earthly things. Take time to bask in God’s great love.  It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

This post was composed before I switched my 4M schedule.  I’ll be here with bells on tomorrow morning with Monday’s Music Moves Me where we’re sharing nothing but Christmas on the dance floor all month.  What better way to get your holiday game face on than with the 4M crew with lots of fabulous sounds of the season.  I’m including the link up below like usual for early party goers. X💋X💋, Cathy

  1. I will share this with a close friend. Her Dad used to sing this in the yearly Christmas program at their church. He passed away when she was a teenager. I know this version will make her very happy, as it has me.

    You own this night, Cathy.

  2. This is definitely more to what I love. They have a great harmony and did this song justice. I have heard singers really over so this one but they kept it under control

  3. Thank you for sharing your Christmas spirit, Cathy! That is some beautiful music for a lovely Sunday morning. Have a wonderful Sunday and see ya on Monday! 🎄😘

  4. Hi, Cathy!

Happy Sunday and S.o.D. Day 5, dear friend! I hope you and DH are having a fine weekend.

I enjoyed this traditional Christmas carol, “O Holy Night,” performed by The Willoughby Brothers. Hearing all those male voices singing in unison reminded me of my childhood, raised in the church, when I was always deeply moved, emotions stirred, by the rich voices of the male members of the choir as they sang various hymns. In The Willoughbys video, I also appreciated the church setting, the dim lighting and flames dancing in the fire as they sang. The piece evokes serenity and hope for mankind.

Thank you, dear friend Cathy. Have a wonderful Sunday and a great week ahead!
