Fabulous Christmas prayers & Christmas tuned house! MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND!!! I’m still putting up my Christmas village… I really need to downsize! bwahahahaha ho ho ho
Marie,
I want to put up my Christmas village today and make a stollen. We’ll see what I can manage. 🙂
I love your spark! Nice song choices too. The Trans Siberian Orchestra is amazing.
Thanks, Ellen! Trans Siberian Orchestra really rocks!
Bon Jovi sang this song well. I always like light shows that regular folks do. It was fun listening and I know the Doris Day song but not with those lyrics. Now, as for my name B-Blue Christmas by Elvis. I for a German song, Ihr Kinderlein Komnet which is very pretty. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer sung by Burl Ives.I- It came upon a Midnight Clear sung by Julie Andrews and T-Tochter Zion, Freue Dich…beautiful! https://youtu.be/y9o2M7jHnlE
Birgit,
Thanks for including songs for your name. Not knowing the German song you mentioned I consulted YouTube for a reference and found it, here. I recognized it. Also, I know the Handel melody of Tochter Zion. Thanks for sharing these with me.
Oh my, where to even begin with your post today! I love the idea of creating a Christmas song list with the letters of your name….will definitely be doing that in an upcoming post. And, I really love the 12 prayers of Christmas. I’ll probably be “borrowing” that one as well. Fantastic inspiration to begin the week! 🙂
Lisa,
I’m delighted you not only like the way I devised my song inspiration in this post but you want to make your own. 🙂 Feel free to borrow the “12 prayers of Christmas”. I borrowed it, too.
That light show was so perfect. Thanks for sharing it and have a wonderful week.
Patrick,
I’m glad you enjoyed it. It seems like everyone likes it, too. 🙂
Love the Christmas Light Show. Those folks are also so clever.
Love your Sparks. That’s a lot of Sparks right there.
Have a fabulous day, Cathy. ♥
Sandee,
I love watching Christmas light displays on YouTube. There used to be a place in town that put on a big production every year but then they stopped. It would be cool to see something like that this year, though. I admire anyone who’s that committed. Clark Griswold’s eyes would pop out of his head to see such a sight, wouldn’t he? 😀
Here’s one of my favorite ones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWBjl-jPcVM 🙂
Sandee,
Wizards of Winter really rocks, doesn’t it?
Hi, Cathy!
I thoroughly enjoyed your holiday mewsical selections, dear friend! It was a couple of years ago when I experienced for the first time the awesome sound and dazzling light show of the prog rock band Trans-Siberbian Orchestra. Their performances inspire us during the holiday season. The Piano Guys are new to me and I enjoyed their unique and enthusiastic performance. It is hard to believe the cute girl next door Doris Day will be 96 years old a few months from now. I have always enjoyed her singing and I appreciated her “Toyland” song. It was great to see and hear one of the most popular hair rockers of the 80s, Jon Bon, accompanied by long hair musicians of a different type, doing a great rendition of “Hallelujah.” The Skyliners have an unmistakable sound and I enjoyed their doo-wop style holiday song “You’re My Christmas Present.”
So true. We can make the world a better place one person at a time. It starts with you and radiates outward, touching your immediate family, loved ones in your extended family, your friends and co-workers, your community, your city, state, country and the whole world.
Thank you very much, dear friend Cathy. Have a super week!
Tom,
I think it was in the mid-80s when I discovered Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I usually associate this version of “Carol of the Bells” with the “Home Alone” films. That’s a fun movie! I’m a bit surprised to learn The Piano Guys are new to you but I’m happy to introduce you to them. They are awesome! Doris Day will be 96 in a few months. WOW, that’s neat! She has such a beautifully soft, feminine voice in her younger years. Thanks for dropping by for a visit this morning, my friend!
Bon Jovi doing “Hallelujah” was an unexpected cover. You covered the Name Game well.

Tossing It Out
