Howdy! It’s Saturday and that means I’m away from Blogosphere. That’s okay, I have my daily A2Z sketch ready for you. A few years back before I really jump started my art doodles I borrowed the idea of a drawing found through Google to sketch for DH a special Valentine’s Day picture. Not wanting to share my original and to give it a second try, I illustrated a new Valentine Pinup art for the challenge.
Today’s “I Love You” playlist features:
- “I Will Always Love You” ~Dolly Parton
- “I Love You” ~Climax Blues
- “I Love You Always Forever” ~Donna Lewis
- “I Love You More Today Than Yesterday” ~Spiral Staircase
- “I Love You” ~Billie Eilish
Thanks for stopping by today. Don’t forget to leave your footprints (direct URL) in comments so I can find my way back to you easily. If you’re in Blogosphere, feel free to stop by for Songsational Sundays!

An A-Z of Faerie: Valkyries
Wowza! Great job on the Dolly look alike! Boogie on and stay safe!
Dolly looks so cute. I still get a laugh out of Grumpy Cat.
Her face and hair are a lot like Dolly Parton, that’s the first thing i thought.
Beautiful Valentine drawing, and i hope you are having a great weekend!
Great job on the drawing. 🙂
Happy Saturday dear friend! Dolly has such a pretty voice doesn’t she? The way Dolly sings it is truly a love song. So pretty. Your picture does look like Dolly Pardon I thought that before you even said it to say the least. Your tunes are definitely cool and finally I’ve heard all of them before. Well, today I’m making my pasta with meatballs. Dave is very stoked about it. It’s been a while since I’ve made it. Oh and good news I’m finally going to see the physiatrist for my leg (mainly cuz it’s really been buggin’ me). I have to get a copy of the MRI and then we’ll be seeing each other on-line. I sure hope my laptop can do it, but if not I know my phone can. I’ll let you know baby girl. Well only a few more days for A to Z. Guess what though I found a series I use to love and never got the chance to see all of them it’s with Michael Landon & I’ve already watched Series One. Gonna start on two tonight. It’s such a cool show. Those two are funny together oh sorry the name of the show is Highway to Heaven, it’s on You Tube & I love it. Such cool shows. Have a great weekend girlfriend – HUGS

Dolly Parton look alike for sure! And here I thought perhaps your pin-up would be playing a violin! hahah.
Have a great day and I’ll see ya Monday!
She does look like Dolly. Great job.
Cute Valentine gift 😉
V is for Visual Texture
Hi, Cathy!
Happy “V” day, dear friend!
Your Valentine Pinup Girl is a cutie! Her pretty face does indeed look like Dolly Parton’s. I suppose that is how Dolly would look if she were petite rather than voluptuous. 🙂 To say this beauty is scantily clad is an understatement. Lucky is the man who “steals her heart.” 🙂 I look forward to seeing this lovely lady brought back In Living Color.
I was happy to hear for the first time the original 1973 recording of “I Will Always Love You” by Dolly. As I am sure you remember, the better known version was recorded by Whitney Houston nearly 20 years later for her movie The Bodyguard. I always enjoy hearing the Climax Blues Band sing their hit “I Love You.” I already have that song embedded in the draft of a future post at Shady’s Place. Welsh singer/songwriter and producer Donna Lewis, a woman with the voice of a little girl, is a new to me artist. I see that her song, “I Love You Always Forever,” was a big international hit in 1996, but I don’t remember it. “I Love You More Today Than Yesterday” by the Sacramento, California, pop horn band Spiral Staircase, is a blast from my past, and I enjoyed seeing this live performance. I remember buying that 45 in 1969 when I was dating the future Mrs. Shady #1. We both loved it. This is another song that I already have drafted in a future post. I have heard of Billie Eilish but never heard her “I Love You” song. I wonder how many popular recordings are simply entitled “I Love You.” It would be a fun fact to know.
That’s a funny meme with Stevie Wonder dialing a wrong number and getting a grumpy kitty on the line. 🙂
I wish you and DH a safe, healthy and happy weekend, dear friend Cathy!
