I have 11 years worth of images captured with my Big Girl camera. I’m notorious for rapid fire shooting while repositioning composition and/or exposure with the hope I’ll get something I like. I thought this was teaching me how to be a better photographer when in fact it not only made me a lazy one but a hoarder of digital photos.
While going through some Cades Cove photos, I had several images of the grist mill. I took several, maybe more, on the same day most looking about the same. I’m careful when it comes to deleting images. The one above I like quite a bit, but it’s underexposed. It wasn’t until I opened it in Pixelmator that I noticed a man looking out the window. This made the picture all the more special and a keeper.

Have a wonderful day!

What a great shot, Cathy! The guy looking out the window makes it special.
Thanks! I don’t know if I just forgot the guy was there or the underexposed shot masked his presence or maybe it’s a little bit of both. My vision isn’t what it use to be and if anything is the least bit too dim then I have trouble seeing things sometimes. Aging eyes aren’t fun.
I can relate to aging eyes, Cathy!
That’s a super cool mill and wonderful photos.
A keeper indeed and the guy looking out the widow makes it even more special. Great shot.
I linked this post to Wordless Wednesday.
